CHAPTER 38

Chapter 38

I don't know where we are right now. Leo brought us to a modern palatial mansion after traveling one and a half an hour from the airport. Slightly amazed, I didn't let my mad face vanish after seeing the huge house in front of us.

Bumaba kami sa kotse. Leo carried Asren on his left hand while his other hand was holding my hands. I gathered the strength to retract my hand from his but he was strong enough. Maidservants carried our bags up to the long and magnificent stairway.

"Put those bags in the room I prepared." Leo ordered.

Ang daming nagkalat na katulong sa labas palang ng bahay, lalo na noong makapasok na kami sa loob. Kung tutuusin, mas malaki pa ang bahay na ito kaysa sa Mansyon nila sa Catigbian noon. Mas marami ring furniture at works of art. Miss ko na tuloy pumunta sa Mansyon nila.  Ano na kaya'ng itsura no'n ngayon?

"Baba, is this your house?"

Leo kissed Asren's forehead. "Our house, baby."

Mahina akong napaismid. Talaga lang, ha? I think we're still in Metro. Nakapagpundar na pala siya ng bahay at lupa. Magaling. Umirap ako.

Of course, siyam na taon na rin ang lumipas at nagtatrabaho na siya noon pa. Sinong hindi yayaman nang bongga kung isang estasyon ang mina-manage niya?

We had lunch on a long fancy dining table with a sumptuous meal. Tatlo lang kaming kumakain doon. 'Yong mga maidservant naman ay nasa gilid lang. Tuloy ay para kaming nasa isang Royal luncheon. It's quite grand.

Evening came, me and my daughter were inside the room Leo gave us. Malaki rin ang room na akalain mong ginawa para sa espesyal na tao. All apparatus were seen inside the room. There are cabinets, study table, various furnitures, portraits, bathroom with jacuzzi, and many more.

Tulog na tulog na si Asren sa aking tabi. Ako naman ay panay parin ang titig sa puting chandelier sa kisame. I can't sleep. Marami ang bumabagabag sa akin ngayon. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang uunahin ko.

Napahilamos ako sa aking muka at napagdesisyunang bumaba na muna. I'm not used to this long stairs. Ours in Turkey is long but this is way longer like a perpetual stairs or stairway to heaven.

Mapakla akong natawa habang iniisip ang lahat. Escaping was my only choice but he found it out. I gritted my teeth. Siya na nga itong ginagawan ng pabor, e!

Dim lang ang lights sa baba. Wala naring nagkalat na katulong akong nakikita. It's midnight, they must be on their suite now. Hindi ko alam ang pasikot-sikot ng bahay pero nakarating ako sa kusina. I opened the small refrigerator there and took a cold water to drink.

"Can't sleep?"

I almost spilled the cold water inside my mouth to Leo. Namilog ang mga mata ko at medyo napaatras. He chuckled dangerously. His cruel eyes bore on me. Napalunok ako saka tumitig sa kanya.

He's only wearing a white sando like the first time we... Uminit ang pisngi ko sa naiisip. I can now see how matured his body right now is. I mean, he has matured a lot.

Payat siya noon kumpara kay Wolf pero ngayon, kung hindi ko pa siya kilala, aakalainin kong mature version siya ni Wolf na may mabalasik na mga mata. And his muscles on the right places. It flexed when he crossed his arms. I blinked my eyes thrice and gulped.

I wonder what else has matured?

"Iinom lang ako ng tubig," malamig kong sinabi.

Natawa siya. He stepped closer to me. I got nailed on my place that only my heart had reacted crazily. He smirked noticing my reaction.  He closed our distance. Nararamdaman ko na ang mainit niyang katawan. Halos mapapikit pa ako nang maamoy ang pabango niya. The same scent I used to smell years ago.
