Amity's POV: I woke up at my usual time and did my usual routine but this day was different. Today was me and Luz's date!! I applied a bit of makeup, prepped a cute outfit and let my older sister do my hair in a cute hair-do of course her and my older brother teased me about our relationship but whatever I was determined to make this the best date ever!!

I took a nice stroll and checked the time. It was 12:45 PM,
I had all the time I needed to get there and it was far
I got there and waited
And waited..
And waited...
I checked the time every 5 minutes..
I figured she was just getting ready
I got worried and checked the time..it was 1:25
I realized she wasn't coming and was extremely upset. I walked to her house to see what was going on and ask her what I did wrong

I saw this girl passed out being attacked by this giant monster

I ran up and used my magic

Then I got a closer look at the girl
...
It was Luz
MY Luz!!

I let out a gasp and saw her in a pool of her own blood..my heart dropped.. I cried as I picked her up and slowly carried her to my house, she had slash marks all over her from the beast
My heart dropped farther down as I watched her body drop blood on me and the ground

I had finally arrived to my house..luckily my parents and siblings weren't home so this was the perfect time..I laid her down and wrapped all her wounds really tight before bringing her into our house just incase she bled all over my bed and floor.. my parents would've assumed the worst

After wrapping her, I laid her down on my bed and tucked her in nice and tight, I kissed her forehead and walked out of the room  thinking

"This is all your fault Amity. This wouldn't have happened if you had just checked on her when she was running late."

I noticed I had also picked up her phone when I found her.. I saw she was about to text someone and looked at the contact name
It was mine.
The message read

"Hey, it's me..I know you are probably so mad at me right now but I stayed up all night last night way too exited for our date and accidentally slept in..on my way now though! Cant wait to see my awesome girlfriend again :)"
"P.S I love you"

She had finally said I love you..

I began crying again

But I knew I had to tough it up for Luz because she needed me

I grabbed some ice and put it in a bag then headed back to my room

She was finally awake

It took a moment for her to realize who I was but when she did she looked surprised

I wanted to cheer her up so I said

"Luz..I'm not mad at you I understand you fell and I'm glad that I found you when I did because you almost got attacked by a monster!!"
I lied.
But she laughed so I guess it was okay.
I told her she could stay at my house until her wounds were healed and asked her if she would be okay with that. She nodded and I couldn't help but blush and smile..
I told her I would get more supplies and go ask Eda if she could stay..
Eda said yes which is nice of her to do since well Eda is basically Luz's mother in this realm anyways though

I already had supplies..
When I got back she was passed out so I sat on the edge of the bed and stared at her, she looked so ill but so peaceful..I noticed a picture of me and her at grom on my nightstand. I held the picture in my hand and stroked it softly as I sobbed..tears fell on the picture and I wiped them
I felt feet move and the blanket un-tuck I turned around and saw Luz, awake, trying to take off the bandage
There was a lot and I mean a lot of blood
I quickly wiped my tears and helped her re bandage her leg, I couldn't help but cry when I saw the blood
I rushed out of the room and looked in the mirror of my bathroom, I splashed my face with water..Then I heard muffled and faint calls of my name. I rushed into my room and put on a fake smile to make her feel better I said "what do you need?" In a cheerful voice trying not to burst out crying again.
"I need you to tell me what's wrong"
My heart sank deep
I tried to make her believe she didn't see me cry and covered it up by saying nothing was wrong
"Amity,I saw you crying.tell me what's wrong..please"
I sighed and realized I couldn't hide It anymore.
"Fine.."
