Jays pov
"Tom? What do you mean?" I shifted nervously whilst slowing down the pace in which i ran my fingers through Nathans hair.
"I-I-urm."
"Tom?" I asked nervously.
"I told Max."
I suddenly felt a lump rise in my throat.
" you what?!"
"he's on his way over." Tom whispered.
I sighed and began to rub my head in frustration.
"im sorry jay." Tom pleaded a new desperation found its way into his voice.
"Its fine, whatever. Get over here now." I demanded before hanging up the phone.
I let out an angry sigh and my gaze fell to Nathan instantly i felt at ease knowing i wasn't in this alone.
"Nathy." I whispered gently pushing kisses along his forehead.
He stirred and groaned into my chest.
"Nath i need to talk to you." I whispered softly.
He groaned loudly before resting his chin on my chest and peering up. His deep green eyes glistened with interest and happiness. He yawned.
"what's wrong?"
I avoided his eyes.
"bird?" He knew something was wrong and moved further up so our eyes were level. He was now sat up in my lap.
"Something's happened." I whispered.
He rested his warm, soft palm on my cheek and began to circle his thumb across my jawline.
"What?" Nathan said.
"Tom told Max." i allowed my voice to pour out of my mouth without a breath.
Nathan tensed and swallowed before exhaling.
"okay. We can do this. We just need to explain everything."
I frowned. How was he so calm!?
"But what if-"
" Jay. Chill out. Breath. Its max he'll be fine, he'll take a while to come around but we will be okay." Nathan planted his lips directly on mine and that relaxed every muscle in my body. He made me feel calm.
I pulled away.
"okay. Breathhhhe. We'll be okay,we will be fine." i said shakily.
The front door suddenly slammed and within seconds max stormed into the room.
The scene that faced him obviously confirmed what he had been told.
"WHAT THE HELL!? WHY DIDNT YOU TWO TELL ME YOU WERE.... BENT!?"
