Chapter 7

Even though I was the master anymore I would still help out with paperwork and sorting out the requests we got. We still didn't get many requests but I knew that if we continued to complete the jobs we were given, word would spread and we would get more jobs. Me helping master out gave him more time to spend with the guild and relax while it gave me something calming to do.
"Hey Luce. Meredy, Ultear and Jellal have offered to help us train to catch up with everyone, do you want to join us?" Natsu beamed as he threw the office door open.
"Natsu what have I told you?" I asked with a frown and he looked at me sheepishly.
"Inside voice inside the office, sorry" He apologised his head ducked. I shook my head in fondness, normally I wouldn't restrict Natsu to act differently from what he normally did but the work both me and Master done was something that we couldn't afford to mess up. Since Natsu was always yelling when opening the door it was easy to distract us and we could make a mistake.
"It's fine, I'm nearly done here so I will be down soon and then we can discuss this training okay?" I bargained and he nodded before heading down stairs.
"You should go and join them my child, I can finish this myself" Makarov smiled.
"I actually have something to talk to you about Master, it's about the old guild hall and what rests under it" I said and he froze. We hadn't had time to speak to each other privately so I hadn't been able to speak to him about it yet.
"You saw then" Makarov sighed looking even older of that was possible.
"Yeah I did but you don't have to worry I was the only one. Also you can rest at ease when we were force to abandon the guild hall I placed a powerful barrier around it so that no one would see the door and if by a miracle they could see the door they would need my magic to enter the door" I told him and his shoulders seemed to slump in relief.
"Lucy, I never wanted any of you to live with this burden. Knowing about that will make all of Fairy Tail's strongest and horriblest enemies come after you" Makarov said.
"I know and they can come at me if they want. I am no longer the little girl that needs to be protected, instead I will protect the rest of the guild from harm. They are my family and I will kill anyone that dares to try and harm them" I promised and then I heard giggling.
"The fourth master is really protective isn't she" a voice said and we turned to see a small girl with blonde hair, dress in a pink dress standing there. I had no idea who this girl was but it was impossible that she was here after all I had seen her encased in a lacrima.
"First Master what are you doing here?" Makarov asked shocked.
"I'm visiting of course, it's rather boring on Tenrou Island. So this is the lady that became the master after you but then handed it back. I am glad that you are the one that became the master. You kept everyone smiling and happy, you also embody the meaning of Fairy tail. It's lovely to meet you Lucy Heartfeila, I am Mavis Vermilion" the girl introduced with a cheery smile.
"I am not sure how you are here but it's a pleasure to meet you are well Mavis-sama" I said dipping my head to her.
"You don't need to do that as for how I am here...I am only here in spirit form. What you saw was my body placed into a deep sleep" Mavis explained and I nodded. That explained why she was here but her body was encased with a lacrima beneath the former guild hall of fairy tail. Hearing the noise start to rise I smiled and shook my head and got to my feet.
"I would love to stay here and hear exactly what happened and how it happened but it seems Natsu is causing trouble again so I should go and deal with that. You don't have to worry I won't tell anyone about what I saw, I know how dangerous that is" I said seriously at the end before heading to the others.
"She is a good person, Makarov may I tell you something?" Mavis hummed.
"Of course first master" Makarov nodded.
"That girl is going to change the world, I am not sure how but she might be the one that can stop the heavens themselves" Mavis smiled before she decided to leave. Makarov couldn't help but think of how right Mavis was, even he could see that I had the ability to get anyone to listen to me.

"So what's this I hear about training?" I asked, the guild was as rowdy as it had been when the missing members had come back, no one had really settled down yet.
"We were thinking of having training sessions. First we do a battle royal with the people that want to train" Jellal started.
"Then we study them to figure out what they need to improve on and give them tips" Meredy continued.
"And then if they want I can us my ark of time magic to help them achieve their second origin" Ultear finished.
"Well to do that we would need a place big enough that they can train without disturbing anyone. As well as having the space to spread out....Let me make a few lacrima calls, I think I have the perfect place" I smiled before heading to the kitchen which was the quietest place and pulled out my lacrima. A few phone calls later I walked back out with a smile. Arriving in the hall I couldn't help but smile even brighter, Gray was shirtless and fighting Natsu, Erza was eating cake with Wendy, Carla, Angel and Meredy, Juvia was fawning over Gray and surprisingly Jellal and Ultear were speaking to Laxus, Bixlow and Freed.
"Okay guys I have everything set up so why don't we start training next week so people who are on missions have to time to get back" I offered thinking about Gajeel, Patherlilly, Elfman and Cana who were gone on missions.
"Sounds great Luce, oh yeah I have to go do something but I'll see you later" Natsu grinned wrapping an arm around me before leaving the guild hall. It was sweet how none of the returning members left without first telling me personally that they were going and I couldn't find it in myself to be bothered about it since it made me feel at ease.
"Lucy why don't you join us for some cake?" Erza offered.
"Sounds great, hey Mira-" I called.
"One strawberry milkshake right? Coming right up" Mira beamed.
"Could you-" I started again.
"Add a dash of vanilla? Of course" Lisanna piped up from beside her sister with a grin. Seems the two sisters knew my drink taste all too well. Looking around I don't know how but I just knew that we were going to be the strongest guild again. I didn't know if it was self confidence or maybe confidence in those around us but what I did know was that after the others caught up for the seven years they were gone, there would be nothing stopping fairy tail from rising to the top once more. And I for one couldn't wait until that happen.
