(mason and declan are 25 in this! and for the sake of this imagine, let's act like england won)

the sun was shining, the weather was amazing and england were in the finals. the entirety of the euros had been a emotional rollercoaster, to say the very least, looking after two four year olds on your own whilst being 9 months pregnant was it's own challenge as mason had to spend over a month at the training camp. but i had some help through that time off mine and masons family and lauren had stayed over quite a few times with raffa to keep me company and the kids entertained.

and whenever the boys played at wembley, the four of us were always there to see them after they played, to see them and talk to them. it probably affected our twins, chelsea and declan, the most when mason was away as they weren't able to hug him or talk to him whenever they wanted but when mason had to isolate after spending a few extra minutes with billy, i had never seen them more happier. the three of them would spend hours on facetime with each other and not one of them would get bored and as always, mason would always tell them to "look after mummy and the baby whilst he's away" to which they did.

"mummy, when are we going to see daddy?" chelsea, the oldest of the pair, asked me as she sat in front of me on the stairs as i tied her laces.

"auntie lauren is coming to pick us up now, then we'll see daddy." i told her, declan running in with a wide smile on his face.

"look at my kit, mummy. i feel like daddy in it." he stood there, proudly showing off his england kit with masons name and number on the back of it.

"should we take a picture and send it to him?" i asked, holding chelsea's hand as she stood up off the stairs and walked towards her twin brother. both of the twins were in the kit, provided by mason and gareth, hugging each other with a beaming smile on their faces. "say cheese, my loves."

once i had taken a few pictures of them doing a couple of different poses, i sent them to mine and masons family and to mason, knowing that he would love it and probably end up showing the boys. about five minutes after we had the mini photoshoot and made sure we had everything, lauren had arrived and came in to help the twins with their bags.

"oh look at you, you're glowing, you look so good." was the first thing that lauren had said as soon as she opened the door, chelsea and declan getting excited to see their godmother as if they hadn't seen her the previous day.

"i've just bent down to do chelsea's laces, that's probably why, but thank you." i giggled, putting my hand in my bag to make sure that i had everything that i needed. "you ready to see daddy?" their cheers and excitement making both of us smile, watching as they ran outside to lauren's car.
