The high heavens may have been on the other side. 

It seems that I upset it since nothing is in my favor tonight.

Everywhere I look, I only get distracted because of someone's piercing stare at me.

Other than his stares were the judging look of the people I don't know.

What bothers me at this moment is Jakob's piercing stares.

Tumatalab ito kahit na nakatalikod pa ako sa kaniya.

Pasulyap ko lang siyang tinitingnan—only to regret it.

Of course, even with the engagement scandal, Jakob never failed to attract women at our level.

Jakob exudes everything a woman can ask for. Ni-hindi ko masisisi ang mga babaeng kumakausap sa kaniya. 

Why bother talking when the person they're trying to talk to is inattentive and has his eyes on me?

Walang hiya niya akong tinitigan.

Jakob's eyes stared at my eyes—no, my whole fucking soul! 

I can feel his heated gaze at Cyrell's hand who's in my waist.

I badly want to stare back and yell him to stop. Hindi na siya nahiya para sa akin o sa sarili niya.

Wala naman talaga siyang hiya—fact. He already has a fiancé yet he doesn't bother shooing those chicks beside him.

Ako ang pumipigil dahil ayaw kong mas madagdagan pa ang issue na kinakasangkupan namin pero ang damuho ay parang wala lang.

Huminga ako ng malalim at pinakawalan ng dahan-dahan.

I looked at the wine served in front of me, it looks tempting but I know better than to drink alcohol.

"Are you sure you're fine? You look bothered." Tumingin ako sa katabi ko.

Cyrell was with me the whole evening.

Pinanindigan niya talaga ang pagiging date ko ngayong gabi.

"Everything is good, Cy., I was just contemplating if drinking is good for me or not." I intended it as a joke but Cyrell did not catch on.

He looked at me and my baby bump, kaagad niyang inilayo sa akin ang wine glass.

He whispered close to my ear,

"Please forgive me, I did not know."

Cyrell is a gentleman, that is for sure. For him to quickly catch on to what I said is commendable.

I leaned closer to him and said,

"Hindi ko sinabi sa iba at ikaw pa lang ang nakakaalam—unintentionally."

Cyrell's eyes gleamed as if he was surprised.

His eyes darted from my eyes to my bump.

A small smile displayed on his lips.

Kinuha niya ang aking kanang kamay at nilapit ang labi dito habang ang mga singkit na mata ay nakatingin sa akin,

"I feel honored, Ishie. Thank you for telling me and congratulations."
