I was sitting at my desk with a mirror in my hand preparing for the Yule Ball. I put on some lipstick and then put my earrings. I wore a goregous long black dress and had my hair nicely done.

Draco closed his eyes as he knocked on my door. "I'm coming in, you ready?" He asked. I giggled. "Draco, you're safe. Come in, I'm ready," I say.

He opened his eyes and walked in. "Wow, Y/n. You look great... but I'll always look better," he said as he fixed his suit. He pushed his tongue against the inside of his cheek.

"Calm down," I said. I walked towards and him and he opened his arm for my hand to slip through.

-

We stood right by the entrance of the Great Hall as we greeted some of our friends. Harry and Ron came up to me. My eyes widened at Ron's outfit. "Ron," I cleared my throat. "You look great!"

His face was filled with disappointment and disgust. I couldn't help but laugh. "You look amazing, Y/n," Harry said. "As do you, Harry."

They walked inside and Draco's friends came up to us. "Dang, Y/n, if Draco ever does you wrong, I can do you right," Theodore Nott jokingly flirted. Draco almost drew his wand at him but I stopped him.

"Draco, he's only joking," I said. I gave him a look as he put his wand away.

"Oh! It's starting! Let's go," I pulled Draco with me while we found our seats at a table.

We watched the four Triwizard champions make a grand entrance.

-

Draco and I weren't a fan of the more upbeat and "get on your feet" songs, so we just sat and watched everyone as we had a glass of fruit punch together and laughed.

"Y'know, Chang's not too bad of a dancer," Draco said, swirling his cup around in his hand, using it to point at Cho, a really good friend of mine.

"Yeah, she mentioned before that her parents signed her up for lessons. Payed off, didn't it?" I took the last sip of my fruit punch, just as the first slow song started to play.

Draco stood up and walked in front of me. He put his hand out, wanting me to hold it. "Wanna?" He asked. I smiled at him and looked at his eyes.

I've never seen someone look at me with so much love than he did.

I took his hand as he walked me over to the center of the hall. He brought me directly to the middle of the floor.

I rested my hand over his shoulder, the other holding his hand. He gently placed his hand on my waist and the other holding mine.

The cold touch of his rings met my hand. I felt safe. I felt at home.

I laid my head on his chest.

"This is perfect. You're perfect, can we stay like this forever?" I said. He let out a breathy laugh.

He pushed me away from him, still holding my hand, and spun me around. He made me feel like some type of royal princess, dancing with her prince charming.

He brought me back closer to him, our faces inches apart. "Always," he said with a smile.

We spent the rest of night dancing like it was our last. Everyone else had already gone back to their dorms. Half of the candles in the halls were already blown out, leaving it the perfect lighting.

"Dray?" I said, my head on his chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat. I slightly felt it on my cheek.

"Hm?"

"I love you," I said, my eyes closed. I was getting a little sleepy but I still wanted to stay in the moment we were in forever.

"I love you more," he said. He knew I was getting tired, so he turned his back towards me and carried my over his back. He brought me to a table and sat me down.

I was able to sit myself up, but my eyes felt way too heavy to keep open. He took my shoes off for me and put me back on his back.

He carried me back to my dorm and laid me down on my bed. He gently wiped off my makeup, not wanting to wake me up, but little did he know, I was still awake.

-

The next morning, I woke up and looked around. I looked at my desk at the corner of the room. I remembered clearing it days before, but it seems as though I've forgotten something.

I dragged myself out of bed and walked towards my desk. I rubbed my eyes and took a closer look at the mysterious object on my desk.

A photobook?

I picked it up and opened it. On the back of the cover it read 'Draco & Y/n - Yule Ball - December 25th, 1994'.

I started to turn the pages and it was pictures of me; A close up shot of me, my hair from behind, and even a full body picture. Funny thing is, I don't remember anyone taking pictures of me.

I turned the page again. This time it was pictures of Draco's look for the night. I lingered over these pages a little longer than I did with mine.

I smiled and turned the page again.

This page showed us greeting our friends before we entered the hall. It warmed my heart to see how happy him and I were. It even caught the moment Draco almost drew his wand at Theo.

I couldn't help but let out a giggle.

I continued the turn the pages. It had every picture of my favorite moments throughout the night; Draco and I gossiping while drinking our fruit punch, him asking me to dance, and the best part...

As I continued to turn the pages, each page showed Draco and I at the center of the floor, and couples leaving one by one, until the second to last page showed the dim hall, with me and Draco still in the center, in the same position we always were.

I turned to the last page and it was the picture of him spinning me, as the ends of my dress spread out gracefully, and bright smiles plastered on both of our faces.

I suddenly felt two arms wrap around my waist and a chin resting on my shoulder.

"Do you like it? I paid Harry and Ron a great amount of money to go under their stupid cloak and take those. But yeah, Merry Christmas, love," said Draco. My eyes widened.

"You did this?! I love it, are you kidding?!" I said excitedly. I put the book down and wrapped my arms around him.

It truly was better than anything I could have ever imagined.
