Abby's P.O.V

"Abby, I'm gay." Devin's voice rang throughout my head. How could he be gay? Why would he even ask me out if he were? "Abs?" He asked after a moment if silence.

I cleared my throat. "Um, yeah. Sorry, I'm just in shock."I shook my head trying to clear it. "Why would you ask me out? And does that mean that you have someone else?" I felt odd asking these questions, but I was keeping something from him too. I was keeping my feelings for Pacen a secret.

He laughed to himself. "You aren't mad or disgusted?" His voice came out strong, but I knew that he was askin because he was insecure. Could I blame him?

"No. I haven't been completely honest with you either." I explained.

"Oh." He waited. "Maybe I should explain first?" It sounded like a question.

"Alright." I agreed.

"I do think you're beautiful and wonder, don't get me wrong, Abs. But I love you as a friend. I only asked you out because I knew you wouldn't suspect anything if I didn't try to have sex with you. And you're best friends with the guy I'm in love with, but we can't tell anyone because we're the schools biggest players."

"How long have you been gay?"

"I guess, I've always been. I just didn't know until something happened between me and him. I mean, I was attracted to girls, but not anymore." He explained.

"So this guy..." I thought as I put the pieces together. "Could it be Brad?" I gasped.

He chuckled. "Damn, how'd you get it that quick?"

I laughed. "Because it all adds up. And Brad refused to tell me who he was with!"

Devin grasped my hand and squeezed it. "Thanks for understanding, Abby. You don't know how much better it is confessing this when you're okay with everything."

I smiled. "No problem."

"So what is it that you've been keeping from me?" He asked.

"I'm in love with Pacen." I said shutting my eyes, nervous.

He roared into laughter. "Everyone knows that, Abby! Well, not him because he's an idiot!"

"What? You aren't mad? What about Amy?" I said evenly.

"No. I knew that Pacen has been in love with you long before he started messing around with Amy. She knows it too, that's why she was jealous of you. And she'll find someone for her."

I felt my mouth drop open. "Amy jealous of me?"

"Yeah, you're sort of amazing, Abs. That's why she thought she couldn't compete with you."

I was going to reply when I felt my phone vibrate. I froze for a moment before answering it. "Hello?" I whispered?

"Abby?" It was Pacen. I felt myself relax at the sound of his voice.

"Yea." I assured.

"I'm with the cops and the guys. We're trying to track you guys, make sure that you keep your phone no matter, Abs. And please be safe. Call me if anything! I'll update you on our progress, alright?" His voice flattered with sadness.

"Okay. Be safe too." I said before hanging up. "They're tracking us." I informed Devin. I heard something creek from upstairs and a slither of light breaking in to the room. I strained my eyes and managed to see an old wooden staircase. There were rows of metal bars and solid, white stained pillars dividing Devin and I from the stairs. I spotted a thick figure creeping their way down the stairs. I could tell by the height and weight distribution that it was a man, perhaps in his thirties.

"What's going on?" Devin whispered so low I could barely hear him.

"Someone's coming down." I said. The man turning in our direction. "Can you walk?" I asked Devin.

He stirred a second and made a small noise of pain. "Yeah." I helped him up and slowly we made our way through the columns of steel encaging us to the back of what must of been an industrial factory basement.

"Where are my pretty little birds?" The man's shrill, Irish voice filled the room. "Are ye hidin' from me?" He spun around so quickly that Devin and I barely had time to crouch. I heard Devin whimper.

"I'm sorry." I rubbed his knee. I searched through the brackets of metal cases.

"Philip! What's taking you so long?" A deeper voice called from upstairs.

"It appears our little friends have woken up." He shouted back at the other guy.

"What?" The voice was closer this time. Only I couldn't tell if the man had entered the room because Devin and I were beside of the staircase instead of by the entrance of it. "There's no time to waste. I'm sure their family has started searching for them." I could make out the sound of a wooden step pressing down.

Philip turned and faced the guy at the stairs. "Then help me search, lazy bones!" He huffed. The man had finally come into view. He was a lot slimmer than Philip and possibly younger than him too.

"Where could they have gone, Demir?" Philip asked.

"Should we make a run for it?" Devin whispered.

"No, you're injured. They'd only catch us. We just have to hiding until Pacen comes with the cops."

Amy's P.O.V

He was laughing. Genially laughing at what I was telling him. "Stop being such a jerk!" I slapped his arm, jokingly.

He laughed a bit, shaking his head and waving his hands in a sign of surrender. "I'm sorry! I just find it hard to believe that you ran and your braces got caught in a tree branch." He exploded in to laughter again.

I sighed. "Technically is was a twig." I smiled, blushing. He quieted down now and was smiling at me.

"Aw, man. I think you win most embarrassing moment." He rested his hands on the table. I wanted to reach out and grab his. But not to do anything sexual to him. I actually just wanted to hold his hand. I've never really felt like that with any guy. Not even Pacen. How could I want to do things with Matt, that I'd never even done with Pacen? "What?" Matt brought my attention to his face. He stared at me, curiously.

My eyes went back to his hand. On his left hand he had a thin, reddish scar running along the back of his hand. "What happened there?" My fingers trailed over the scar, lightly. I glanced back up to him.

His eyes lowered to the scar and then back to me. "I had gotten in a fight at my old school." He said with that tone that suggested that he wasn't interested in pursuing the matter any longer, but I wasn't going to let it slide. I wanted to know about him. I actually liked talking to him. "What was the fight about?" I asked adjusting my position.

He laughed to himself. "Some girl I thought I loved." He huffed, glancing at the side of the table.

Hesitantly, I reached over and wrapped my hand around his. His skin felt smooth and warm against my own. His eyes snapped up, instantly. "What happened with the girl?" I asked.

He kept his eyes on our hands. "She cheated on me." He looked up at me. His yellow eyes endearing.

I wasn't exactly sure what to say so I frowned. "What about that boyfriend of yours?" He raised an eyebrow and I instantly felt a wave of guilt. Should I tell him the truth? What will he think of me?
