"I think thats enough paper work for tonight." Derek sighed, putting the rest on the bedside table and turning over to face Meredith.
"What?"
"I'll finish it at work tomorrow. I don't have any surgeries scheduled."
"So now what?"
"I don't know." Derek laughed. "We're a boring couple."
"No we're not."
"I'm glad you don't think so." Derek smiled, rubbing her arm.
"You feel good...." Meredith whispered as he wrapped his arms around her.
"Hmm...You too..." He breathed, burying his face in her hair.
"Hmm...."
"Addie and Mark want us to come for dinner on Friday." Derek said, rubbing her back.
"Are we going?" Meredith asked.
"Do you want to?"
"Yeah if you want....we can." She whispered, moving on her back.
"I guess we should go."
"Yeah...." She whispered, looking up at him in wonder.
"What?" He smiled, kissing her forehead.
"I feel good...right now."
"You do?"
"Yeah....really good." She breathed, a tear coming to the corner of her eyes.
"Happy tears?" He whispered, stroking her cheek.
"Yeah...I just...nothing feels enough."
"What do you mean?"
"Promise not to laugh?"
"I promise."
"It's just...everything is suddenly better...not better but...it's different feeling."
"That's...good. I'm...that's really good."
"And it's good...I feel...I know I'm safe...and we have sex which is great and kissing is good...we sleep and you're around me...but it's never...enough."
"How is it not enough?" Derek whispered.
"I just...it's so new and it's a cheesy thing but....I just want to be closer...we're close...we're always physically close now and somehow...i can't get enough...I want to be even closer which is weird and impossible but....I just want you...all of you...." Meredith let out a small smile.
"You have it." He smiled.
"Maybe it's some weird euphoric condition I have."
"If you have it, then I have it too."
"We can be crazy together."
"Not crazy...just...okay yeah, crazy."
"You realize it's almost midnight and we're in bed talking about being crazy?"
"I do. But I like it."
"I'm still bored.'
"Sorry." He laughed.
"Come on...." Meredith sat up quickly.
"What?" He sat up with her.
"Let's do something."
