[10] Where Are You Now?

I STARED at Raven when he suddenly stopped the car after I nodded at his question. He looked at me with bewildered eyes and his mouth slightly opened. What's wrong with him? I also glanced at Ruiz at the back, but he's too engrossed on playing that he didn't notice the car stopped.

"Why?"

Raven didn't even bother to answer my question and still remained staring at me like he's reading my thoughts. Why is he acting like this all of a sudden? Did I say something wrong?

"Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked him again, but he's still lost in his thoughts.

After a few moments, I was surprised when he suddenly broke the silence, "W-why there?"he asked without breaking his eyes on me.

I sighed before answering him, "I had a dream about something related to that place last night."

I remember my hands trembled while Rounin and I crossed that pedestrian yesterday. Was it a sign that something bad might happen to that place? Or a sign that I will be dreaming about it later that night? So many possibilities came to my mind, but I'm too occupied to entertain any of those.

"What dream?"

I think I should tell him about my dreams about that unknown guy and the nightmare as well. He's my best friend after all, he deserves to know. I'm always open to him whenever I have a problem or something is bothering me.

"There's this guy who visits me in my dreams everynight."

"Sino?"

"Hindi ko alam." Nakita kong bahagyang kumunot ang kanyang noo sa sagot ko. "I don't remember his face anymore. All I know is it was him."

"Paano mo nalaman na siya 'yon kung hindi mo naaalala ang mukha niya?"

"I just felt it." It's like my heart recognized that unknown guy in my dreams.

"And then?"

"Hindi ko rin maalala kung tungkol saan ang panaginip ko,"dagdag ko. "Pero..."

"Pero ano?"

Huminga ulit ako ng malalim bago pinatuloy ang pagkwento. "I dreamed about him again, last night. I'm not really certain if it was really him. And... It wasn't actually a dream, but a nightmare."

"What do you mean by that?"he asked again.

"Nasagasaan kasi ng truck ang lalaking 'yon sa panaginip ko,"sagot ko. Nakita ko kung paano nagbago ang ekspresyon sa mukha ni Raven nang marinig niya ang sagot ko. "Nakita ng dalawang mata ko kung paano siya lumipad dahil sa impact ng pagkakabangga sa kanya ng truck."

Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko na nanginginig na naman ngayon. Tinignan niya ako sa mga mata bago magsalita, "Stop thinking about it and relax. Calm down, okay?" Pagkatapos no'n ay ngumiti siya sa akin at mas hinigpitan ang hawak sa kamay ko.

How can I relax after that nightmare? I can't imagine myself witnessing someone hit by a truck in front of me. Tapos wala man lang akong ginawa para iligtas siya.

"It's just a dream. Don't let that bother you too much."

Sana nga panaginip lang 'yon pero bakit parang totoo? Parang nasaksihan ko talagang mabangga ng isang truck ang lalaking 'yon. It felt so real. And the thought of Rounin being that guy is killing me. I wasn't sure, but I hope nothing will happen to him. I can't just ignore that dream. I really think this has something to do with future happenings.
