Amara's POV

The loud clatter startled both of us. I was so desperate for him I pulled him closer, attaching my lips to his once more as my legs straddled his lap.

He lightly brushed his hands over my ass and pulled away, a look of confusion on his face.

"What?" I said, "It's probably your father."

"That's the thing, my father left before you came back." He told me and my eyes widened, getting off of him.

He ran over toward the night table and pulled out a gun, clocking it as he moved toward the door.

"Stay here." He told me and I stopped him from moving.

"I'm going with you." I said to him, quickly grabbing a sweater off of the chair and pulling back my underwear back on.

"It's not safe Amara." He said, watching me as I pulled the clothing over my body.

"I can take care of myself." I said, pushing past him and entering the hallway.

We both quietly ran down the stairs and once we reached the patio door he turned to me, grabbing my arm as another sound was made.

I turned right and he turned left and we both stopped, confused as to why we were both moving in opposite directions.

"It's this way." We said at the same time.

"Fine, we'll each go one way." He said, tossing me a blade from his ankle.

He gave me one last look before turning and running behind a wall, disappearing from sight.

I ran the other way, my feet moving against the cold grass toward where I thought I heard the sound.

Another clash made me halt and I quickly hid behind a large tree. There were voices in the distance, a sound of an argument present in their tones.

I gripped onto the handle of the knife harder, prepared to stab anyone who came behind this tree. I couldn't help but feel the throbbing pain in my stomach, but kissing Luca was worth all the discomfort, I would do it a million times again.

The feeling of an hand grab my arm made me whip my body around, pouncing on top of the attacker and putting the blade to their throat.

"Whoa whoa whoa. It's me, please don't kill me." The voice said, holding their hands up, the side of their cheek against the ground and their eyes closed.

"Jack?" I said in disbelief, "Что за хрень?" (What the fuck?)

"Hey, we're here too." Another voice said behind me and when I turned the rest of my group was there, a smile stretched upon their faces.

I didn't say anything as I jumped onto the them, hugging them all at once tightly.

"We missed you too." Mason laughed, his cheek pressed against my head.

"How did you guys find me?" I asked, pulling away from them, Jack coming up beside me.

"We found out the leader of the Australian mafia was murdered and we knew the Italians were planning on doing so. They only have a safe house here and it was a long shot but we knew we had to try." Alec told me.

"Wow, I never knew you guys were that smart." I chuckled and they smiled.

"Let's get out of here, okay?" Mason said, grabbing my arm.

"Wait." I told him, but he kept on pushing me.

"We don't have time Amara."

"No, let me go Mason. I need to do something before I leave." I said, but he didn't budge, only grabbing onto me harder.

"Let me go!" I shouted, ripping myself from his grip but Derek and Jack caught me, carrying me towards the plane that sat not far away.

"Let me go!" I shouted again, thrashing in their hold but it was no use, they were too strong and I couldn't help but let a tear slip as they dragged me onto the plane, my mind only thinking about one person as we took off.
