It's the next morning and Casey still hasn't said a word to Maya. He has just left for work without telling Maya
"You ready babe?" Maya asks as she walks out of her bedroom
"Right...I forgot" Maya says noticing that Casey isn't there
Maya then grabs her keys and drives down to the firehouse. When she arrives she can see Kelly and Casey staring her down.
"Morning Chief!" Cruz and Capp says
"Yeah hi" Maya says as she walks in avoiding eye contact with Kelly and Casey
Maya gets into her office and gets on with the big pile of paperwork sitting on her desk. She comes across a letter from Grissom saying there's gonna be an inspection taking place at 51 later that day and Maya is dreading it. Mostly because she has to tell Casey and Kelly to clean their trucks
"I'm gonna need the truck cleaned" Maya says as she looks at Casey
"Huh?" Casey asks
"I need you to clean your truck! Make it spotless! That goes for you two Kelly" Maya says as she looks at the trucks
"I'm not cleaning my truck" They both say in sync
"Why not? I'm giving you an order here!" Maya says getting slightly annoyed
"Your only doing this because your mad at me!" Casey says
"Okay! Let's get one thing straight Casey! I'm not your wife on shift! You don't get to treat me like crap in here! I'm your chief! You take orders from me and you follow them! Yes I did come home in a state 2 nights ago but you can't keep giving me the silent treatment! Now get those god damn trucks cleaned before I do something I regret!" Maya shouts before walking back in
"You heard her! Clean your trucks! How hard is it?" Herrmann shouts as he gets together the engine members
The rest of them follow Herrmanns advice and start to clean/wash their trucks. An hour later the trucks are looking spotless and Grissom shows up
"Chief Avery!" Grissom says as he kisses her hand
"Commissioner!" Maya says smiling
"Just go about your day! Pretend that I'm not even here" Grissom says as he starts to walk around
"That might be harder than you think" Maya mutters
"What was that?" Grissom says as he turns around
"Nothing!" Maya says shocked
Everyone gets on with their day and Casey has realised that he needs to speak to Maya. So he turns up at her office
"What are you doing?" Maya says as she pulls him in and closes the door
"I came to apologise" Casey says
"Not now! The commissioner is in the firehouse right now and I can't pick another fight with you! So please leave it until we get home!" Maya says as Casey sighs but understands so he walks out
"Chief Avery?" Grissom says
Maya turns around to look at him
"A word?" Grissom says as Maya walks towards him nervously
