After her little encounter with the Luitenents Maya decides to go and register herself. She then sits down in the conference room. Matt and Kelly come and sit down next to her whilst Maya looks around the room
"I'm the only female here!" Maya says
"Oh yeah..." Kelly says looking around the room
"That just means your the best!" Casey says smiling
"Obviously after me!" Kelly says laughing
"Don't get too cocky Severide!" Maya says laughing
The conference then starts and the first question is what is the best thing about being an office. People say loads of different answers ranging from bossing people around to getting control over fires. They finally get to Maya but before she can speak she is interrupted
"Oh my god! That's Maya Lewis!" A Luitenent says
"Oh my god! No way!" Another one replies
"Who's she?" Grant asks
"She had a miscarriage when she was working over at firehouse 56! She actually had to take 6 months off!" The Luitenent says laughing
"No she didn't! Like just get over it! You've never met the rat before!" Ben says
"And guess who the daddy was!" A Luitenent says
"Who?" They all say
"Matthew Casey! He's the Luitenent on truck 81!" The Luitenent replies
"That's why she got her captaincy! Because she was married to him!" Grant says
"Women could never lead! There too emotional!" Ben says
"Hey! First of all I'm a really good captain! Second of all me and Casey split up before I got my captaincy! And don't you dare talk about my daughter like that!" Maya shouts
"Ohhh! It's someone's time of the month!" Ben says
"Ohh yeah! She must be on her period! That's whats making her emotional!" Grant replies
"Hey! That's enough! Did your mother not teach you to respect women!" Casey shouts
"Ohh look! Here comes her husband to save the day! And she did actually did yours?" Ben asks
"Oh wait she was in jail for murdering her husband!" Ben replies
"Let's go Maya!" Casey says as they both walk out
Maya sits outside and doesn't say a word
"There just idiots!" Casey says rubbing her back
"Yeah! They don't know how much of a badass you are!" Kelly says smiling
"They brought up my miscarriage! The one thing that I'm actually sensitive about!" Maya says with tears in her eyes
"Again they don't know what there talking about! That baby would have been damm lucky to have you as a mum!" Casey says
"Let's just get back in!" Maya says standing up and walking back in
