While Ryu was at work in the diner, she received a phone call from Johnny, who she had not spoken to since last night.
She went to the pantry area so he could speak with him privately on the phone.
"Hello."
"Hey baby, good morning." said Johnny as if nothing happened last night. Oh? Nothing did happen last night 'cause he didn't show up.
"Uh... good morning." said Ryujin with no excitement in the tone of her voice.
"What's the matter? You sound uninterested talking to me?" John asked. "And why didn't I receive any "good morning" text from you, baby. You forgot about me?"
The audacity of this man to ask Ryujin that question when he forgot his promise to her.
Ryujin replied. "I think it's the other way around, you forgot about me."
John got confused. "What? What is this all about? What do you mean?"
"Last night..." Ryu reminded.
"Uh huh?" he still had no idea.
"I waited for you at the waiting shed to come pick me up."
"And why would you wait for me there?"
Ryujin exclaimed. "Because you promised me you'd send me home yesterday and so I waited for you! I waited for you for three hours."
"Oh..." said Johnny, moment of realization.
He was silent for a while and then he said. "Babe, I'm really sorry... I was... I was busy with my former workmates, we were discussing about my job application and they helped me to finish it so I could submit it today, we worked overtime, babe."
And what a liar he was.
"You could've atleast informed me that you weren't coming 'cause I waited for you, oppa." said Ryujin and she still upset about that.
"Look I'm sorry but this work-related Ryu, I had no time to check my phone because I was busy. Don't you understand that?" John seemed pissed already.
"I understand that you're busy with this job application but it wouldn't take you 1 hour to tell me that you're not coming, so I would be informed." Ryujin explained her side.
"Ryujin, you are very demanding of my time and you know I am a very busy man. I thought you understood but now you're complaining." said John.
"Babe, I am not complaining. I am only explaining my side because I am upset with what you did." Ryujin said.
"And therefore, you are complaining. Why can't you understand that I am busy? I know I made a promise but you should have understood that if I wasn't able to reply or to keep my promise, it's because I'm busy with my job application in Australia." John argued.
