5: Si Dave, Si Avie at Ako

[DIANNE'S POV]

Sa office ko kami pumunta ni Avie when we got back.

I have patients to see pa.

Inusog ko yung swivel chair ko sa may gilid at doon pinaupo si Avie.

Thank God the people working in SONY created this thing called PSP

She has her PSP! Kaya busy siya ng matagal tagal.

Tinalikod ko yung upuan para hindi makita ng patients ko at ng secretary ko si Avie sa chair.

"Baby I have to work so baby has to behave until I'm done, ok ba yun?"

Avi nodded and started playing. Imade her use my earphones para hindi rinig yung games niya.

I'll sit on a monoblock chair, nagtaka pa yung secretary ko kung bakit hindi ko nalang sinagot yung tanong niya. And asked her to send in my patients.

I started with my patients. I'm talking to my third one.

"Mommy! I'm out of batt na" she stood up sa chair.

Napatingin kami ng patient ko sa kanya.

"Excuse me" sabi ko sa patient ko.

I stood up and opened her bag. Wala yung charger niya but she has an Ipad.

"Baby your charger's not here. Eto nalang Ipad mo"

Inabot ko sakanya. For a three year old alam na alam ni Avie kung papano I-handle yung Ipad niya.

I went back to my patient.

Until last patient ko na at kakatapos lang namin.

I stood up to check on Avie.

Nakatulog na siya sa chair yakap yung Ipad niya.

I took the Ipad from her at binuhat siya para sa lounge chair sa gilid siya matulog.

Then I placed my lab coat para gawin niyang kumot.

Nakagawa na ako ng paperworks ko when Avie woke up

"Mommy mamam po?"

Mamam?

Hmmm... Mamam?

Milk?

"Gusto mo ng milk baby?"

Oh shoot! I forgot! Baby pa nga pala si Avie kahit kumakain na siya ng solid food.

"Baby can it wait?" I asked her.

Dadaan nalang kami sa market before kami umuwi.

"Mamam" she stomped her feet.

"Sige baby wait here, ok lang? Kukuha lang ako ng mamam"

I went upstairs sa nursery.
