I woke up and went to reach for Tk but he wasn't there it was eight o'clock and his shift Dosent start till nine
There was a note on the dresser I picked it up reading it
"Went to work early ." I said reading the note
I messaged Tk saying morning
I went into the kitchen seeing Ellie eating eggs and toast
"Morning papa !" She said
"Hey bug did daddy make you that ?" I said
"Yeah he made you some to he said it's on the stove ." She said
"Okay ." I said getting the breakfast he made
"What do you wanna do today bug ?" I asked
"Can we go see daddy ?" She said
"Bug I don't think that's the best idea today .. but do you wanna go get some stuff for dinner ?"
"Yeah!" She said
"Okay go get ready .." I said checking my phone to see if Tk responded
I got nothing back
*** Me and Ellie got back from the store
"Daddy can I go play outside ?" Ellie asked
"Sure I'll come watch ." I said heading outside
I checked my messages from Tk

*** Later that night
I just put Ellie to bed and I came down seeing Tk putting down his bag
"Hey.." I said
"Hey..." Tk said getting a water
"T look I'm sorry I didn't mean to push you .." I said coming to the counter
"Carlos it's fine ." Tk said sitting at the counter
"But it's not .." I said sitting next to him
"When I shoved you at the fire house .. what did you Tell me ? You told me nobody had to say sorry Carlos you don't have to say sorry ."
"But your nose was bleeding and and you have a cut on your eyebrow ."
"Carlos I've had worse remember I was shot ." Tk said laughing
"Well if you aren't mad why did your ignore my messages?" I asked
"Because we were super busy today We couldn't even talk to one another let alone text ." He said
"Carlos it's okay ." TK's said rubbing my back
"Are we okay ?" I asked
"We were always okay ." He said kissing me on the head
Later that night Tk got back into bed
"Carlos ?" He said stroking my hair
"Yeah ?" He said
"How are you doing ?" He asked
"Better ." I said as I wrapped my arm around Tk spooning him
