I sat next to Carlos in the waiting room at the adoption agency
"Hey - it will be fine okay ." I said putting my hand on his leg as it kept shaking up down up down
"I know .. it's just a thing I guess I picked up when I'm nervous from Michelle."
"Tk and Carlos ?" A lady called out from the corner as me and Carlos followed her back
We sat down on the other side of her desk
"Hi my name is Miss. McCarthy but please call me Abby ." She said smiling
"My names Carlos and this is my husband Tk ." Carlos said looking at her
"Nice to meet you both it's truly a pleasure." Abby said
"So is there a gender or age range you would like ?."
Carlos looked at me I shook my head looking at him to see what he thought
"Not in specific ." Carlos said as I looked under the table seeing he started to play with his hands
I took his hand in mine under the table as he looked at me
"You guys do understand that this is a long process you have to have multiple home study's and interviews meet and greets .. so on ."
"We do ." We both said
"Alright we'll I will start lining up some meet and greets with a kid who needs a home and we'll see how it goes I'll be in touch ."
"Okay sounds good ." We said
Abby left the room leaving me and Carlos to discuss
"Hey are you okay you kinda seemed nervous." I said to Carlos as he looked at me
"Can we talk about this at home .."
"Yeah..sure ..let's go ." I said
