"Paige, ice skating!"
I briefly closed my eyes and took a deep breath. My spoiled brat sister is really testing my patience. We just went out of the cinema after watching three consecutive movies, tapos ngayon, may gusto na naman siyang gawin.
"Paige, bilis! Ice skating!" she yelled again, and before I could even say no, she already ran towards the ticket booth.
Agad ko siyang sinundan at hinawakan ang pulsuhan nito. Her brows furrowed as she gave me a questioning look. Ni hindi man lang nahalata ang pagka-irita ko.
"Let's go home, Lily. We've been here for more than eight hours. I think that's enough." I firmly said and started to dragged her towards the elevator.
Pero nakakailang hakbang pa lang ako ay sunod-sunod na ang protesta niya.
"But I don't want to go home yet! Paige naman! Ice skating muna! Please, please, please, please, please!"
Hinarap ko siya at sinamaan ng tingin. She's throwing tantrums like a kid. She's already eighteen yet she still acts that way.
"Please, Ate? Last na 'to, I promise!"
Mas lalong tumalim ang titig ko sa kanya. "Don't use that 'Ate' card. It won't work. Umuwi na tayo." mariing sabi ko at hinila siyang muli.
"No! Ice skating muna!"
My jaw clenched. The last straw of my patience snapped. I'm done here.
"Fine. Do whatever you want." walang ganang sabi ko bago talikuran siya at nagsimulang maglakad na paalis.
That girl would surely be the death of me. Bakit ba ako umasang susundin niya ako? She never listens to me.
Bahala siya. Gawin niya gusto niya. Basta ako uuwi na.
Pero hindi ko rin siya natiis. Huminto ako at nilingon siyang muli. Naglalakad na ito pabalik sa direksyon ng ticket booth.

Nang makarating sa tapat ng elevator ay pinindot ko ang down button nito. I frowned when it didn't work. Kanina naman ay maayos na gumagana 'yon. I decided to use the escalator instead. Nasa fifth floor lang naman ako. Hindi masyadong hassle bumaba.
"Ang weird naman, kanina pang walang signal..." rinig kong sabi ng babae sa likod ko.
Out of curiosity, kinuha ko rin ang phone ko at tiningnan ito. Napakunot ang noo ko nang makitang wala rin akong signal. Tatawagan ko pa naman si Manong Franco.
