"It looked so hard but the more I watch this, the easier it seems," I said, amazed at the way they just knew exactly where to cut.

Jesse laughed and plopped into the armchair by Greg, "It's like a surgeon.  They know the right places to cut, too."

"Oh, yeah!  Chef's have to have lots of precision and attention to detail," Daisy agreed, wiping her face and hands now that her pizza was done before putting her napkin on the coffee table, "Otherwise you're gonna get the salt and sugar confused and other dumb stuff."

"That would be a great way to ruin a chocolate cake," Greg joked and we laughed before I cringed, mock spitting at the idea of an overly salty cake.

Remington was still helping Liss get the dog items put together. We heard some racket in the dining room followed by an "I'm okay!" from him along with Lissy laughing. Remi seemed nervous but I figured it was only from how close he was getting to my sister lately.

I saw them kiss.

She doesn't know I caught them, but I did.

It wasn't on purpose, but I was in the kitchen getting some water and just looked outside and couldn't help it.

I'm just happy that Lissy finally met someone I approve of.  Remington is a good guy and will be an awesome brother in law.

Greg looked confused as he studied the puzzle in front of him so I stood and limped over to take a look.  "What's the problem?"

He looked up at me and sighed, "Four letter slang term meaning to throw, but starts with a Y?"

Daisy snorted and I started laughing immediately.  Lissy overheard and chuckled, too, answering, "Hey, Greg? Y-E-E-T."

Greg gave me a funny look.  "Y-E-E-T?  Yeet?"

Hearing the way he said it made me laugh harder but I nodded, "That's right!  It's one of our words."

He just shook his head and filled in the spaces but quickly got excited since that helped him answer two other parts of his puzzle.  "Thanks, kiddo!"

I moved back to the couch and finished my pizza right before Doc came with a plate of Double Stuf Oreos and tray with glasses of milk then sat down on the other side of Daisy.  She passed me a napkin and glass while I grabbed some cookies, glad to have more food.

When I know what we're having for dinner and get to smell it for hours, it only makes me more hungry.

Lissy looked like she was going to throw up when she sat down next to me plus Remington stayed standing so I was worried about what was happening.

My sister knew I was nervous and picked up my wrist right away, holding it and looking right into my eyes.  "Beep, I need to tell you something really crazy."  Lissy's voice shook but it wasn't scared or sad. It was more just nervous.

I felt my stomach flip around and my throat close a bit so I started doing our breathing exercises. Lissy stared in my eyes and I nodded, then looked around realizing everyone was paying close attention to us.

Daisy gave me a really confused look so at least she didn't know what was happening, either.

Lissy let out a long breath and turned around to glance at Remington a minute. He was standing behind her and leaning against the kitchen table but gave her a little nod. She let out a sigh then blinked and looked back at me, "So, when I was telling Remington all about our family and Clara we realized something..." She looked at Greg and gave him a warm smile, "Because Greg let him know he had an affair with a woman named Clara about 15 years ago."
