chapter 13

It's been a month of Hawk and Gina's unofficial relationship. Hawk decided that he should stop doing the anonymous library notes with Gina since he actually liked her at this point. He had also decided that it was time to make it official with Gina.

"Where are we going?" Gina asked him with a blindfold over her face.
"Shh, I told you to stop asking me that, you'll see in a minute," Hawk replied with a smile that Gina couldn't see.

Finally, Gina was allowed to removed the blindfold from her eyes and she saw that they were on a boat.
She didn't say anything at first, she took it all in trying to remember if they had some sort of inside joke or had a previous discussion about boats she didn't recall.

Hawk gestured her to sit down at the table behind them. There was several other couples seated around the boat. There was dinner and music playing for all the couples.

After Gina finished her pasta, she asked, "Why the special occasion? I mean don't get me wrong, this is amazing but like, why?"
"I wanted to ask you something but right. Will, you be my girlfriend?" Hawk asked with a grin.

"Yes, of course I will!" Gina said enthusiastically.
