Nailea Devora is a teenager that faces the hardships of teen relationships. Her first love was a hard one but like they say after the storm the flowers gloom, when she meets Vinnie Hacker.
"Happy Halloween!" Thomas used a microphone to wake us all up. "Fuck off, some of us are sleeping," I shout back, unable to sleep again. I don't have anything planned for today, apart from the house meeting later today, which I'm nervous about because they're all planning a vacation and I'll be at home for a while. I miss it, and I'm not in a good place emotionally right now. Home also seems to be the best environment to go an heal and celebrate the next holidays.
I get up and ready for the meeting. I kept my costume simple as usual, never going all out, but Avani and the other girls outdid themselves with theirs. Clapping his hands together Thomas starts the meeting. "Okay, this meeting we are going to discuss the holidays and the things coming up, as you guys know some of you have already informed me you want to go home with your family and that's alright, but if you're coming in the trip with us to New York let me know," Thomas says.
"I'm sorry, but I'm not going." I explain, "I haven't been home in quite a while, and I spend just enough time with you all," and he crosses my name off his list. "Anybody else?" he asks, but no one responds. "Okay, so Nailea, Jaden, and Charli won't be joining us," he announces, "next, I would like to talk about what's going to happen after the holidays." The meeting, like Thomas, proceeds.
Emily spends the entire time on his lap, monitoring the room and me. Michael realizes me and hugs me like a brother during the meeting. "I don't think he's happy," Michael says, "and neither am I," I shake my head. After a while, Vinnie is looking at me and Michael, I'm not sure if he's jealous or sorry. Hopefully, he realizes Michael is like a brother to me and is only doing this because he sees his girlfriend intimidating me with her looks.
"What do you mean you're not coming with us on the trip?" Avani grabs my arm and says, "I'm not, I want to spend the holidays at home, we can go to New York another time." "Yes, but it will be more boring without you," she groans. "Facetime me if you see anyone famous," I tell Avani, "and you photoshop me into the pictures," I tell Larray. "You should have seen the look on her face, you just made her day," Larray says, "she probably thinks I'm doing it for her, as if" I laugh.
Emily left after the meeting, I'm guessing to get ready. While Vinnie was passing by, he grabbed my arm and pulled me in, whispering, "if she makes you feel uncomfortable, I could say something, you don't have to sit this trip out." I give him a smile and say, "nah, I'm not going for myself, and if anything, you telling me this secretly rather than with her here says a lot, Vin." I pat his back and continue to walk. He pulls me back once more, asking, "Are we still friends?" he says. "We always were, but if that upsets your girlfriend and you don't want to do anything about it, I'm not sure if we should be." I sigh.
