Chapter 2

"That was so embarrassing!" You felt the need to sob but forced it down. "It could've been anyone but of course it had to be her, like she didn't hate me enough already!" You said quickly while picking up the fallen bowl and tray.

"I mean, it was only an accident. You didn't mean to." Denki said with a shrug.

"Yeah and you did apologize, you did everything you could in that kind of situation." Said Sero.

"Ugh, still." You put your tray away, as well as the others.

"It's fine Y/n. Don't fret it too much. It's over. You'll be fine." Mina said with her hand on your shoulder.

"You're right. She already didn't like me so what's the harm." You tried to comfort yourself.

"Okay, let's maybe not focus on Y/n's high school life crisis and hurry to class. We have 7 minutes and we all know how long it takes Denki to grab the right books." Sero said in a rush.

"Hey!" Denki shouted. "Rude." He crossed his arms.

"It's true." You and Mina said in sync.

He just sighed in defeat.

You all walked quickly to your lockers to grab the proper stuff for today's lesson. And of course  you had to help Denki grab his proper books. Today he nearly brought his book of electrical circuits instead of a basic hero's law textbook. And why the hell did he have an electrical circuit book? You'll never truly know when it comes to Denki.

You all quickly got to class on time. You all sat down at your proper seats. Right away you began to read through today's lesson overview until a familiar girl walked in. Yaoyorozu. This time she had a clean shirt on. You sighed in relief and went back to your studies.

"Great everybody is on time. Anyways, today we have a test. Uh.. Good luck." Mr Aizawa said in his tired voice while passing around tests. The class was filed with dramatic sighs, except for yours, of course you're happy about a surprise test. Another great way to show your remarkable intelligence. Once the test reached your desk you began to work at it quickly.

"Damn, this is really simple, we already went over most of this stuff." You thought.

You grinned while finishing it in only a short amount of time. You brought your paper to the front of the class and placed it on your teacher's desk. He looked up from his sleeping bag, no expression on his face.

"Finished early again Y/l. Great. Go sit and read pages 58-75. It has all the information for tomorrow's lesson." He told you and went back to his slumber.

You turned around and began to walk back to your desk. Your eyes met with Yaoyorozu's, she still wasn't complete her test yet and seemed ticked off that you finished before her. Though it was no surprise, you always finished before everybody. She noticed you caught her staring and averted her eyes hastily. You returned back to your desk feeling a bit guilty and confused as to why she acts that way towards you.

You shook your thoughts away to focus on the task in front of you. You flipped to the proper page that Mr Aizawa had told you to go to. You began to read the information for tomorrow's lesson.

"Working with other heroes during battle" The title wrote.

Immediately you sighed.

"Great, we need to work in groups tomorrow." You thought.

"Pst." Mina caught your attention.

"What?" You whispered looking over at her.

"You read about what we're doing tomorrow? I forgot my books at my dorm."

"Of course you did. I think we're doing team training, like working with other heroes in battle." You explained with a frown.

"Pft, just your luck. Let's just hope you defeat your opponent and not your teammate." She teased you.

You kick her leg from under the desk and responded with a roll of the eyes.

"Ow!" Mina rubbed her leg.

"Do you two have something to share with the class or do you wish to continue ruining my sleep?" Mr Aizawa grumbled.

"Uh no, sorry we'll shut up." Mina said quickly. You two exchanged looks before giggling and going back to your class work.

The rest of the day passed by painfully slow, your prior events still replayed in your head. You shook them out while unlocking the door to your dorm. You attempted to unlock the door for at least 2 minutes now, angrily shaking your key in the key hole.

"Dammit." You said under your breath. "Open you useless piece of crap." You spat.

"Having trouble opening your door? If you're struggling with that there's no way you'll do well on tests." Yaoyorozu's voice echoed behind you.

You spun around quickly, turning your back to your door leaving the key in the door as well.

"Erm.. A little trouble. It doesn't usually do this to me." You said with an annoyed tone.

"Move." She said and you obliged.

She walked up to your door and unlocked it with ease. Tossing the key back to you.

"Nice key chains." She teased you about the multiple manga keychains that hang from your keys.

You stood before your door, confused. She walked away without another word, leaving you with an unlocked door. You shrugged to yourself and entered your dorm. You threw your bags down on your bed that was dressed in a duvet of your favourite colour. You placed yourself on your bed while grabbing your laptop and throwing on your favourite movie.

"More studying..." You muttered, knowing you had to constantly study a lot to keep your outstanding grades.

You opened your textbook and let yourself get dragged into a sleepless night full of studying.
