Laura's POV

Today is the day that Danny is coming home. I'm happy yet nervous at the same time to see him. It's only 10:53 AM, I don't get off of work until 3:00 PM, and his flight is scheduled to arrive at 5:30 PM. Currently, all I can think about is how I can't think about work, because all I want to do is see Danny. I'm not even making scenes anymore. Yesterday I got a text from Drew and he said, 'Danny is okay for the most part. I think he's anxious to see you.' I don't know what is

happening in Danny's head. It just makes me feel like I can't be there. Not to mention I haven't slept at all since he left. And of course, I feel like the worst human ever because I didn't notice his cuts. I thought only things like this happened in books, where it's all made up or someone else's story. I mean I know it happens, but I never in my mind imagined Danny cutting.

(at 4:00)

ugh, I'm so nervous to see Danny. I'm going to get an Uber instead of driving myself. My hands are too shaky to drive. It took a while with Chicago traffic but I got to the airport half an hour before his plane was set to arrive. After 20 minutes of hopelessly sitting in a Starbucks. Danny texted me, "just landed. Meet me at the luggage area."

I walked over to the large sign that said "luggage collection". I feel so many things all at once nervous, scared, anxious, yet somehow excited. I see Danny coming off a plane, I can tell it's him from the Greg hoodie. God, he looks awful. He has bags under his eyes and looks worn out, almost like a drooping dying flower, but he seems just as nervous to see me as I am. I almost sprint over and I hug him. He seems surprised that I was so eager to see him. "Woah Woah. I'm here."

I step back, just looking at him absorbing the fact that he is here. I say

"Danny... you don't look so good."

"I hadn't noticed. Let's go grab my stuff."

"Yeah...right"

We go grab his luggage. I take a mental note that he had a hard time lifting the small

suitcase he had. We walk out of the airport and I get an Uber. The ride passed quicker than I would have liked. I'm dreading the conversation we're going to have.

"I know it's early, but I'm going to go to bed." He says.

"Okay, uh yeah."
