I'm in a terrible mood. I haven't been out of bed, haven't changed my clothes, and have been crying. To say the least, your girl is going through it, so turn it up shawty. Why am I still here, an influencer with what seems to be the ideal life in the media, who lives in a big ass residence with all her close friends but always feels like shit? I feel bad and as if life is treating me unfairly; I don't deserve it.
Yet I have to get out of bed today; I have to go out, and I'm terrified that I'll be recognized and questioned about my relationship with him, my ex. I was recently cheated on, and instead of hearing about it from the person I thought was my significant other, I learned about it on social media, and I've been on a social media hiatus since.
It's an awful situation, and I'm a private person who prefers to tell it as it is with others, but people want to know my side of the story, which I haven't told them, and they also want publicity from me, which they never get, because even the smallest slip up would be a big deal. Hub and I have been friends since middle school, and we even confessed our feelings for each other on the last day of school. Unfortunately, he moved away, and we lost touch. Then we both began blowing up on social media at the same time, so we reconnected and began dating soon after. We dated for a year and a half, but when you're as emotionally attached as I am, that's enough time to believe you've found your soulmate.
Anyways I get up around noon to start getting ready for tonight, it's Bryant's birthday. I go out to the kitchen to eat breakfast, and Avani, my best friend in the house, sits next to me, trying to cheer me up because she knows how down I am. "Okay, so today is the party, and we're going to be the hottest ones there, have the time of our life, and drink like a bitch," she exclaims, making me feel a little better. "Duh, I'll be getting ready," I smile, taking a bite out of my waffles. "Oh, and speaking of partying, Thomas says we'll be meeting the newest member of the house soon," she says. "I skipped this week's meeting huh, well I hope it's a girl, I swear the only people I'm close to here are you, Larray, Michael, and Jaden," I sigh.
Returning to my room, I shower, do selfcare, change outfits, and do my hair and makeup. I'm feeling good, I'd forgotten how good it feels to get out of my comfort clothes. Anyway, for the sake of the day, gas myself and post on social media. A part of me hopes he sees it.
