With that, all the alcohol in the room was in my hands.

In the future, it's going to be cute seeing him blame a ghost for the disappearance of his cherished wine. It's a pity I won't be able to see it.

I climbed on the bed and sat next to Edward. Within a few minutes, the second bottle was empty and I felt the urge to talk.

"You know...... If it weren't for the saintess who disappeared you could have been cured a long time ago. Still, you don't have much to worry..." I tapped on Edward's shoulder.

It still hadn't lost its firmness in the least.

"I know who the next saintess is. Shhh...." I put a finger to my lips

"Do you want to know who it is?" I slowly whispered in his ear.

"Hmmmm?" I squinted my eyes. I don't know if it's because I'm drunk that I'm seeing things. But Edward's ears were turning red as I continued to whisper to him.

"She's the sign of purity. A girl who will soon rise like a shooting star in the social world" I raised my arms in the air putting on a dramatic display as I continued talking

"Beautiful as a delicate lily with kindness that can forgive even the darkest of hearts. The one with immense holy power. The one to break your curse..."

I opened the third bottle and tossed the cork. Then I got on top of Edward as if it was a natural thing to do.

"The one you..... 'my dear husband'  will fall in love with at first sight and the one you will court after my death......." I paused.

"Helen Layton"

"Tsk.....I'm gonna have to die so you can have a happy ending. Like I'll let that happen....." I said chugging half the contents of the third bottle

"I know what it feels like to die once. I'm not gonna go through it again. What do you think?"

I took a close look at his face. He had long eyelashes.

"Why aren't you answering me?" I slapped his cheeks with a little strength. Maybe a bit more than that.

There was no reaction. Not even a minute twitch or shake.

"Oh my god......are you dead?"

I put my palm on his chest to check for his heartbeat. But I couldn't feel anything since my hands were shaking a little from all the drinking.

Panicking I put the half-empty bottle on the side stand beside the assassin's knife.

After unbuttoning the top two buttons of his shirt, I put my ear on his chest to check his state.

"You're fine" I sat up.

Edward's heart was beating as fast as a horse. I'm not sure if it's normal but, I don't care anyway.

"Where were we again?" I got hold of the bottle again

"Archduke Edward Frost. Strong, capable, influential, rich, and handsome on top of it. Even mosquitoes refuse to bite him out of respect. The man who is every girl's dream" I drank the rest of the wine and tossed the empty bottle

"Pfft. HAHAHA" Suddenly I started laughing till tears fell from my eyes

"Every.....every girl's....pfftt..dream....HAHA"

"Oh please. Every girl's dream is to eat without getting fat. Who're you trying to fool"

"Dream....HAHAHA"

I woke up to the sound of knocking. My head was throbbing like explosions went off inside it.

The details were a bit fuzzy but I remember drinking and talking and a lot of laughing.

Did I sing too?

"Wait!" I yelled irritated by the continuous knocking

I had been sleeping while holding onto Edward's arm. I'm not surprised anymore because even though I sleep after barricading the area between us, I always end up rolling towards him. So I stopped doing that after a few days and accepted my bad sleeping habits.

I pulled my hand out from him and stretched on the bed.

What did I do to make my body hurt like this?

But when I looked at the state of the room I was in, my jaw dropped unconsciously.

"Oh no"
