This information won't lead me anywhere. Unless I find this person. He can tell me about that mansion, right?
I don't even know who this 'Akira' is. Not that it matters, I guess. Probably a rich dude.

"You won't find anything."
I bite my chapped lips and clock my head to the ceiling.
"Could you just not be negative for once?"

He scoffed at my ridiculous favour.
"If I'm not negative...then why am I a demon?"
Yeah...he's a jerk. No. I am a jerk.

We're one, right? So, he's me? But what if-
"Could you just stop overthinking for a second?"
I stick my tongue out.

"If I don't overthink... you're not here."
It's true. I overthink a lot and because I do that, this demon gets a chance to worsen it.

"Why do you even want find out all of that shit?" I put the pencil down and stare at him.

"You don't understand. I drew that mansion. Out of nowhere. Why?"
"I don't know, why are you asking me?"

"No one knows. So, I have to find out. My-...my mom is there. Maybe there's a connection."
The man rolls his eyes.

Something changed about him. Not on the inside but on the outside. Not sure what though.

"Or maybe you're caring too much. Leave it be."
I smirk.
"I'll leave it be if you leave me alone."

The demon smirks. Knowing damn well where these words already come from.

"Nova? You alright?" She asks. I bite my broken fingernail. Zoning out.
Looking at the dark figure behind Nola.

Leave me alone.
"Nova!" My tired eyes shift to her.
"Yeah?"

"Are you okay?" I laugh. Like a maniac. I am at my worst.
"Okay? Do I fucking look okay?!"

"I feel anxious all the time. I don't sleep. I can't get that man away from me. And there's nothing to help me! No cigarettes, no drugs, no-"

"Drugs?"
Fuck. I messed up. She knows now. Nola is aware of the smoking but the drugs? No way.

"Nova did you take drugs?!" I rub my eyes.
"Yeah Nola I did. It's fine I don't have it here."
A deep scoff comes out of her vocal cords.

"I can't believe you Nova! I thought you were fine but.."
I roll my barely awake eyes.
"Stop overreacting Nola. You're being childish."

"Childish?! Says the one who can't even look at a fucking board because her dead mom is on there!" That day, a part broke of my heart.

I didn't expect this. At all. Nola didn't either. She only realised how bad it sounded after her rage was out.

"You?"
"Nova I'm so sorry I-"
"You!"
"Nova I didn't mean it!"

"You jerk! I can't believe you! Never talk to me again or I'll take you to that rotting graveyard with her!!"

The security guards quickly rescued her from being attacked. They put a restraining jacket on me again, leaving me to live in agony.

I was furious.
The halls were filled with my crazy sounds. My screams and cries and laughs. All of it.

I was crazy. I am crazy. Nothing has changed.
I just got better at hiding it.

After that insane asylum.
"You should have expected it...no one is your friend. Leave it be."

He sat there in front of me. He's not real. No.
My loud breathing quieted down.
"I'll leave it be if you leave me alone."

Now, here in the library, the demon answers the same thing:
"I could never Nova."
