Walking outside to meet with Touya and my dad, I managed to overhear dad telling Touya about something I didn't think he'd ever talk about with someone, especially not with Touya.

I was surprised to say the least.

"[Nickname], my little girl's life hasn't been easy. With the abandonment of her mom right after being born she's grown up to fear losing people in her life." my dad began telling Touya who listened intently.

"I know Mr. Aizawa. She's told me about her mom leaving. Also about having fear of losing you and anyone else she cares about." Touya replied, a sad expression crossing him.

My dad nodded, "She's a great kid, always has been. She used to be much brighter before though. She used to laugh more too. But as the years went by she was forced to see people leave her without saying goodbye. It happened with her former best friend Bakugou, then Midoriya, and later-"

"Shoto..." Touya mumbled sadly.

"Right, I'm not sure what happened with those three. She's only given me vague explanations but from what I saw in the past, it's almost certain that she felt abandoned by them. She began building walls to hide her true self. Eventually not wanting to do anything with her former best friends. She left UA. It was difficult for me as her father to see she was running away from that problem but I also couldn't force her to stay. But thinking about it now it was probably the best decision, because she later met Ryoichi."

"Her ex boyfriend right?" Touya asked.

"Yeah. With him she was able to be her normal self again. I'm not sure if you know this but [Name] used to do... how should I put this... 'secret hero work' during the past years."

"From what she's told me, I assumed she was somewhat a vigilante. She told me a little about that and how dangerous you and Shinsou was it? Claimed it to be." Touya awkwardly spoke.

"I had no idea she was doing it at first. But then I would get random calls for ransom, and she once got detained by the police... oh boy." Dad sighed with a slight titter, "She became such a problem child during those years."

At that I pouted with arms crossed. Touya smiled letting out a tiny laugh, "Did she really? She got detained?"

"You have no idea how much of a troublemaker she can be, and her excuses have always been odd. Funny even."

"Oh I think I know what you mean." Touya smiled as he looked at his hand with fondness. "Just like today, she rushed in like a firecracker saying she was going to break those three's noses."

I blushed furiously at that. He didn't need to tell dad that...

"Is that so?" my dad shook his head with disbelief but, "That sounds like something she would do and say."

"But even so, she's got a great heart on her." Touya's lips curved upward.

"She sure does." my dad smiled in agreement.

"So when did [Nickname] stop with the vigilantism?" Touya asked with curiosity, "As far as I know she's not doing that at the moment."

With a pensive look my dad answered. "Well that happened after Ryoichi died, she stopped completely. She was abandoned by someone not by choice but by death. She knew she'd never see him again and her recklessness became less. Months later she told us Ryoichi made her promise to stop putting herself in unnecessary danger and it looks like she's kept her promise."

Touya quietly listened.

"But even so, for more than a year she was living in dismay and grief. That was until recently. She began to smile once more and interact with others as she used to. Her change of mood was so noticeable. And that's all because of you."
