Chapter 88: Our Reality

"Very proud." Wanda agreed. The kids looked between their parents, happy expressions on their faces.

"You know... a family is forever. We could never truly leave each other, even if we tried." All in one she was comforting the kids and trying to comfort herself. "You know that, right?"

The two children slowly nodded in response with tired sighs. Wanda smiled at them, slowly turning to kiss Billy on the head while hex (Y/N) did the same to Tommy. The parents sat up from the beds, walking over to the opposite to kiss the other child.

"Goodnight, boys." Hex (Y/N) walked to the door with a content stride.

"Goodnight, dad." The two responded as Wanda followed behind him. They both waited in the doorway, hex (Y/N) resting against it while Wanda slowly turned around again. She could see the border of Westview in the distance, approaching its final destination: the house.

"Boys..." She caught their attention for the final time. The boys looked up at their mother in curiosity. Wanda paused for a few seconds. "Thanks for choosing me to be your mom."

The boys smiled at her. Wanda finally made the difficult decision and walked out of the room, turning the lamp off with her powers before closing the door. Why were goodbyes so hard?

Wanda palmed the picture of her, hex (Y/N) and the kids, a sigh escaping her mouth. She turned off the lamp on the same table, walking around the couch a with a slow pace, turning off the last lamp in the corner. As soon as she did so, the previous lamp snapped on.

She turned around in confusion, seeing hex (Y/N) stood beside the light. She felt so bad for tricking him into believing her fairy tale, only to then leave him to disappear. She could say the same for the real (Y/N). Disappearing from him and into her fairly tale, then returning from a family to him.

"I, uh... I heard it was a bad omen to say goodbye in the dark." Hex (Y/N) said in an accepting voice. He was going down with the hex, and he was fine with that.

"You did?" Wanda raised an eyebrow.

"Well... no. I suppose I just wanted to see you clearly for the last time." He sighed, stepping around the couch to gaze out the window. Wanda couldn't help but smile. She slowly walked over, too. The border was almost on them.

"Wanda," He turned towards her again, making her meet his eyes. "Don't feel bad. Don't feel sad... about any of this. Your real lover is waiting for you. More children are waiting for you in the future." He patted her shoulder.

"I'm sorry... for everything." Wanda said with regret.

"Don't apologise. These last few days with you have been wonderful. I don't think there's anything I could've enjoyed more." He smiled, turning back to look at the window as the border was now only a house or two away.

"I'll watch over the children wherever I end up next. Even if my true self is out there right now... I hope you know that I still love you." He finished, a small smile on his face. Wanda couldn't tell if her nose was blocked or if she was sniffling from sadness. She couldn't stop herself from at least wrapping the man in a hug just as the bored blew over them.

The house began to shift and morph between its forms from each episode and decade. Switching between each one like a tv switching between shows. Hex (Y/N)'s body began to glow both blue and red as it slowly faded piece by piece. The house eventually made its way back to the 70s black and white as it was almost done returning to its original form.

"See you around, darling." Hex (Y/N) disappeared in a sparkle of energy, fading into thin air as Wanda was left at the doorstep of the original house that (Y/N)'s letter had lead her to. She was back in her coat and casual clothing... just stood looking at the front door. No kids... no husband.

She grabbed hold of her hood and pulled it over her head, turning around and walking along the stone path and past her car. She didn't even bother taking the vehicle, just began walking along the street.

"So, did he give you some depressing speech?" Wanda turned around to look at her car. (Y/N) sat on the roof, an arm draped over his knee. He was wearing casual clothing now. No husband, but she had a boyfriend.

(Y/N) jumped down from the car, making Wanda walk back towards him.

"What's with the hood? If you're trying to play hide and seek, I still see you." He pointed out as she suddenly grabbed him and kissed him. Now he was sure that she'd been given a depressing speech. When she retracted back, (Y/N) ran his thumb over her cheek.

"I've missed you." He said honestly. Wanda couldn't help but blush at the cute expression he wore. It was an expression that screamed of "I don't want to say this but I feel like I need to" and it amused her.

"I love you." She clutched his hand as she felt so happy to have (Y/N) back.

"I'm starting to wonder if those three words are cursed. Those tend to be the last words before one of us die." (Y/N) pointed out. Wanda exhaled. There was no way in hell she was going to allow that again.

"I want to learn." Wanda mumbled.

"Learn what?" (Y/N) raised an eyebrow.

"What these powers are." Wanda slid a ball of energy around her fingers, showing what she meant. (Y/N) nodded in agreement.

"I want to find out who I really am. What I really am." He looked down at his palms. Agatha called him the Cerulean Sorcerer... what was it? He wanted to know more about his past, how he'd become whatever that being was... And if he had truly been the one to murder his sibling.

"So. What do we do now? I don't feeling like staying here after everything..." Wanda gazed at the house, somewhat scared she might hurt (Y/N) with the statement.

"I was thinking the same, I'll be honest." He quickly agreed with the latter. Probably not the best of places anymore. He did have another place, though. "Did you ever even visit my house while I was gone?"

"I visited Tony's for the funeral. All he told me was that you lived upstream. Why?" She blinked at him.

"Because I'm going to bring a girl home with me." He smirked at her. His powers ignited down his clothes, morphing them into their blue and purple gear that he'd always used since Ultron.

Wanda took the hint and shifted into her new suit. (Y/N) snapped his fingers and ripped open a portal behind him with a smug face. Wanda smirked at him, throwing her arms around his neck. (Y/N) lightly held her by the hips, falling backwards through the rift and dragging Wanda along for the ride.
