Chapter 8: Sister's Secrets

"Amirah!" You smiled as you saw your sister, who was jogging down the hall to greet you.

"_____! Come with me!" She grabbed your wrist and began the journey back down the hall.

"Where are we going?" You asked, pushing your hair out if your face.

"My room." She said, picking up pace just a bit. "How was your trip?" She asked, and you began going through everything.

"It was amazing! First, I went to Zora's domain and met King Dorephan, who's daughter Mipha is really something else, defeating guardians like magic, I met Daruk of Goron City, who took out this HUGE talus, and then I got to see Urbosa! She is so good with Moldugas!" You told her. "And when I went to see Revali again, he found my necklace! And he defeated an ice talus in like one hit and-" You stopped as the small slam of her door and the lock clicking caught your attention, and you brought it back to your sister. "You okay?"

"_____, I think-"

"Queen Amirah! King Rhoam is looking for you!" A guard called from outside.

"Tell him I'll meet with him momentarily!" She called back, and the guard just said okay and left.

"What were you sayi-"

"I think I'm pregnant, _____!" She held your hands in hers and her huge green eyes were looking right into yours.

"Wait, seriously?" You asked, and she nodded and grinned.

"Yes! I'm not completely sure yet, but-"

"Amirah, darling!" Rhoam called from outside, and you looked back at Amirah to see her ready to speak again.

"Don't tell him anything. He doesn't know yet." She told you before going to unlock the door. As she opened it, Rhoam was just on the other side reaching for the handle.

"There you are! I've been looking for you." He smiled and rested a hand on his hip.

"I'm sorry dear, I just needed to speak with _____ about her trip a bit." She gave you a small wink, something Rhoam couldn't see.

"Well, we have a meeting with the guards, remember?"

"Right! We should be getting there, then." Rhoam kissed Amirah's forehead, and she also gave you a quick squeeze before she and Rhoam walked off to their meeting.

You walked down the hall to your own quarters and changed into your regular attire before heading out to the castle town.

Walking along, you kept thinking about what Amirah told you.

'An aunt... I'm going to be an aunt... I'm going to be an aunt!'

"I'm going to be an aunt!" You exclaimed, and many of the villagers around you glanced over. You simply smiled and continued walking through as if you said nothing.

"B-But Amirah!" You pouted as she walked you down the hall.

"_____, I know you can't help yourself and I get it. Please, just this one time? Just for me?" Amirah pleaded, and you sighed and nodded. You apparently had a meeting with Rhoam, and only Rhoam, just for the purpose you understand your next task. Amirah had to attend a separate one.

"Fine." You promised not to say a word about the baby, and she hurried off to her own grouping. Leaving you standing at Rhoam's door.

You gave a small knock, and heard a "Come in!" From the Hyrulean king himself. You opened the door and closed it behind you, trying to bit back a smile. "_____! There you are. I was wondering what was keeping you." He said, and you waved your hand a bit.

"Amirah wanted a quick word with me before I got here." You said, and he nodded and gestured to the chair across from him. You sat down and looked up at the already happy royal. You just wanted to spill everything but couldn't! Goodness, Amirah's task for you was harder than his.

"That's alright." He said, setting a paper down in front of you. "This is what we need you to do next." He pointed at the header, 'Divine Beast Trial'.

"What's this?" You looked over the document, catching key words like 'True hero', 'Worthy of the sword', 'Test of Courage'.

"We need you to complete the trial with Amirah by your side. She's the only one who will be able to go with you, and you could get seriously injured if you do it alone." He told you, and you nodded.

"Alright then." You continued the meeting, trying to forget about Amirah's secret. You had gotten so impatient to the point you were frozen.

"So next there's- _____, are you okay?" Rhoam asked, and you gave a small nod, staring down at the paper, words wanting to burst out of your mouth. "You're quite flushed, do you need a doctor? I can get you one if-" That's when the doors burst open, and also when-

"I'm pregnant!" Amirah exclaimed, seeming out of breath. You smiled and grabbed the confetti your pocket and began throwing it all over Rhoam's desk, all while he sat in shock of the words that came out of his wife's mouth.
