Chapter 6

"W-wait." I said in shock of what I just heard.

"What?"

"D-did you just s-say you want me?"

"Maybe?" He said now kinda panicking thinking I had changed my mind on how I felt.

"Glad to know you feel the same way." I said with the biggest grin on my face.

Once I said that he pulled me into a hug but then everyone came out of the restaurant which made us pull away pretty quickly.

"Hey guys!" Mary said as she ran over to us.

"Hey." Both me and Xolo said.

"I was wondering if you would want to come back to my apartment and watch a movie since we have the day off tomorrow." Mary asked.

I looked over at Xolo to see if he was up for it and he shook his head yeah.

"We'd love to."

"Yes! Let's go!" She yelled grabbing my hand and running to Tanners car since he's gonna drive Xolo's.

"But wait." I said making her stop.

"What?"

"Who's coming?" I said crossing my arms, smirking at her cause she knew I would be mad if I wasn't told who was actually coming this time.

"Jacob, Tanner, you, and Xolo. I promise that's it."

"Ok. Now let's beat those boys there." I said grabbing her hand and running to the car again.

"Haha. We beat them here." I said doing a dance as we entered Mary's apartment.

"So while we wait for them. How about you tell me how yours and Brett's relationship is going." I said plopping down on her couch.

"Still going strong. I miss him terribly but at least there's FaceTime cause without that I'd be lost." She said laughing.

"Yeah. That's gotta suck being away from him for so long."

"It does, but it only makes your relationship stronger and the wait to see him again worth it." She said sitting down next to me.

After a little while of boy gossiping and telling her about what happened with me and Xolo. The boys had finally got here.

"What took you guys so long?" Mary asked standing up and walking over to them.

"Well Tanner took several wrong turns." Xolo said coming over to take Mary's spot next to me.

"How? You know where I live." She asked confused.

"Yeah but I forgot?" He questioned himself while shrugging his shoulders.

"Ooook then. Popcorn anyone?" Mary asked getting ready to go into the kitchen where Jacob and Tanner went.

"Sure." I said grabbing the tv remote looking through movies on Netflix.

"I hope what I said doesn't make things awkward between us now." Xolo to me.

"Are you kidding? Xolo I've felt this way about you for, forever now. Why would things be awkward?" I asked.

"I don't know." He said laughing.

"Things won't be awkward because there's no reason for them to be." I said smiling.

"Well in that case then. You, me. Friday night."

"It's a date." I said smiling.

"It's a date." He said smiling back.

And little did we know Tanner, Jacob, and Mary were listening to the whole thing.

We decided on watching "Avengers: Endgame" cause it's a great movie even though Iron Man dying makes me tear up every time.

And about half way through the movie Xolo got up to make more popcorn. Which gave Tanner, Jacob, and Mary the perfect time to ask about what went on when they weren't in the room with us earlier.

"So." Tanner said.

"So?" I asked confused.

"What was your and Xolo's conversation about earlier when we weren't in here?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" I said playing dumb and drinking my water that was in my hand.

"Don't play dumb Alana."

"Nothing happened earlier." I said really not wanting to tell them we were going on a date cause it would be all they talked about.

"Come on were your best friends Alana." Mary said trying to convince me as well.

"Doesn't mean you need to know every detail." I said with sass.

"Oh so something did happen earlier." Tanner said to annoy me more.

"What. No! I never said that!" I said kinda yelling.

"I'm, uhhh, gonna go see if Xolo needs help." Jacob said getting up and walking away.

"Then why would you say you don't need to know every detail?"

"Oh. My. God. You guys really don't give up do you?" I said throwing my head back laughing.
