Chapter 4

(ALANA'S POV)

I was about to kiss the person I've liked since day 1.

That was until his phone rang.

"Umm hello."

"Ok. Ok. Calm down. All be right there." He said.

He kinda sounded panicked. Why would he be panicking.

"What's wrong?"

"Hannah said someone broke into her house and she doesn't want to be alone right now."

"O-oh. Is she ok?"

"She said she's fine but to be honest I have no clue. She sounded pretty scared."

"Well we better get going then."

The Ferris wheel finally came to a stop and we hoped out and quickly walked to the car.

"So I'm gonna quickly drop you off at your apartment and go to Hannah's after. Is that ok?"

"Yeah. That's fine." I said giving him a nod.

After that I'd hardly said a thing. All I was thinking about was almost kissing Xolo.

That was something I've been waiting to happen for years now and of course Hannah had to ruin it.

Don't get me wrong she is one of my best friends but why Xolo out of all people she could of called. I understand they are kinda close but she couldn't of called Sam or Annalisa.

I kept on going on and on in my head about what happened till I was pulled from my thought.

"Hey, you ok? You've been quiet since we've got in the car."

"Y-yeah I'm fine. Just got a lot on my mind."

"You know you can talk to me. Right?"

"Yeah it's just not something I want to talk about right now."

"Ok." He said giving me a small smile.

"We're here." He said as he stopped the car.

"Thanks for tonight. I missed hanging out with you." I said smiling

"Me too." He said smiling back.

Before I got out of the car I turned around and kissed him on the cheek to make up for not actually kissing.

"Goodnight Xolo."

"Goodnight Alana."

When I got into my apartment I let out a deep sigh.

So many things have happened and it's only our first day back at work.

As I got ready for bed I was thinking more about our almost kiss.

How come he didn't say anything about it or have any emotions on it.

None of it made any sense.

*Beep Beep Beep*

"Oh shut up." I said as my alarm was beeping at 5:00AM.

Once I finally got the courage to get out of bed and into my bathroom to get ready, I checked my phone along the way.

I had 2 missed calls from Mary.

"Why did she call me so late?" I thought out loud.

After I got ready and put my hair in a ponytail and picked out my outfit.
