Sophia's POV:

We hugged for what felt like hours which was actually minutes. His cologne was everything I needed at that moment. I guess I felt safe to have him there for me when no one else was. Like it or not he was my big brother and my best friend.

As I hugged him I thought about everything and how our friendships been failing and how I want to talk to him about it, so I figured now would be the best moment while he's happier. 

I slowly pulled away. " So can we talk ?" I asked fiddling with my rings.

"Yea shoot " he replied with a smile. The pain had eased so I straightened up and took a deep breath in and began.

" So I don't know if its just me or something else but I feel like we've been distant for the past ages JP" I sighed as I looked up at him. He clenched his jaw.

" its not just you " he replied with a weak smile. I looked up at him surprised.

"Really ? " I asked in shock.

" Yea...I mean I have my days but sometimes I just feel like you don't want to hang out with me anymore or...." he said turning his gaze on the road ahead.

" Me?...excuse me that's what I feel your doing I mean sure I'm a girl but you don't have to make it evident you don't want me near you all the time...." I said matter-of-factly. " I mean when's the last time we hung out just us 2 ?" I continued.

" Yesterday" he replied. I frowned.

"Jackson yesterday was family dinner so obviously we hung out " I said chuckling. "Anyway that does not count" I said hitting him playfully.

"fine...." he groaned.

"soo...what are our plans for the evening ?" I said exaggerating the 'our'.

"you choose" he said finally getting his focus on me. 

" uh..." I said waiting for an idea to get into my head. "oh I know I have this spot somewhere that I recently found wanna join me ?" I asked gazing up at him with puppy eyes.

"Why of course I do madam " he replied laughing.

"ok so I'll come get you at .....mhmm lets say seven ?" I said grabbing a pen and writing it down on his hand so he would remember.

"sure" he replied starting the car.
