Balthazar's POV

Six months. That was too soon. I gave Evaline a thorough interrogation about how I could possibly get in contact with him or find him, but she knew nothing. He always came to her. She was nothing but a pawn to him. He didn't care what happened to her, that's why he sent her here. He knew how I would react. When I finished interrogating her, I left her alive. I feel that killing her would be too much of a mercy at the moment. I want her to see what kind of life Deckland has in store for us if he does win. If not, I want to see her face when I inform her I killed him. So for now she'll stay my prisoner.

When I left the dungeon it was late. I followed the bond and found Azula on the training field. The field was covered in snow and ice, and she had a layer of sweat coating her skin. Her markings were on full display. She turned to face me. "Well?" "She was useless for more information," I told her. "Of course she is. When has she ever been useful," Azula spat angrily. I then informed her why I was keeping her alive and she agreed. I then took her hand, "Come on, it's late." We went to our room where our wolves were sleeping on our bed. So much for not letting them sleep on our bed.

We went to the bathroom and stripped off our clothes. "Word has already spread due to the guards who heard having spread it around," Azula informed me. "Our kids already know as well Atros and my brothers. Zilan went ahead and sent word to my family to see if they were ready." I nodded, "Deckland has some way of stopping the sun on the day of the Eclipse. We'll have to figure out how, and if there is anyway of stopping it." She nodded, "I feel that will be like finding a needle in a haystack but we have to find it. Do you think the Priestesses of Oria may know something?" "We can ask Vidya in the morning when we gather for our meeting," I said to her. "She should be going back in a day or so for worship. It'll also allow her to see if the other Priestesses are ready."

"There has to be a way to find him. Maybe something we're not thinking about," Azula muttered. "We've thought of every in the box and out of the box method we could think of," I said to her with a sigh. "I know. I just feel like there is something we're missing," she said with a sigh of her own, her shoulders dropping. I pulled her to me, "No matter what, we'll get through this." She kissed my chest, "I know."

Yulen's POV

Hearing the war has been moved a year and a half up the timeline has everyone unsettled. Mom and dad had us gather for a meeting. I invited my mates to see if maybe they could be of assistance in some way of finding him before we all go to hell and back. "As you know Deckland has moved up the time line to the day of the Eclipse in six months," dad said to us. "We believe he has discovered a way to freeze the Eclipse to keep the sun covered." He then looked at Vidya, "Do you or any of the Priestesses know of a spell that could do that?"

"I don't," Vidya said. "Even Oria's brother was never able to stop the sun." "The sun had been in existence before Oria became the Goddess who had control over it," Stark said. "There had been a time the sun had been blacked out when a vampire who was half witch, used a spell. She did it as a retaliation for Ares cursing our kind, because the curse got her mate killed." "Curse," Lui asked concerned. "Full blooded vampires can't step into the sun or we'll die," Stark explained. "I can walk in the sun because of a magical object Kora made for me." He wore a total of three rings on each hand. On his right hand with the blue stone was his sunlight ring. It was on his ring finger. He wore the other rings to make anyone who wanted to take it from him, not know which ring it was. I noticed when he was nervous, he'll mess with the ring on his left thumb, turning it around his finger.

"During the war, the vampire army had those kind of objects that allowed them to attack us during the summer solstice," Atros said with a nod. "Removing them was one of the easier ways to kill them. But this is the first I'm hearing of someone having once stopped the sun." Stark nodded, "My family didn't take part in the war. We were historians, in charge of protecting our people's history. We took everything and hid it. The witch's spell book is included in that. It was written in ancient Greek, but I can read it." "You can," I asked him curiously. "Part of a vampire historian's job is to learn other languages to be able to read anything we have stored," Stark said with a nod. "When was the last time you've been to your storage," dad asked him.
