It's just not fair.

"How are we doing? Scale of one to ten."

"Negative five." Hoseok sighed, tapping his pen against his desk, Jin nodded as he took a seat in his original place in front of the desk. "Hm, Yoongi doesn't seem to be in a good mood either—"

"Jin. Please." Hoseok said, he met his eyes and Jin sighed, crossing his legs as he looked around the office. "I'm sorry, alright. Part of me wants to think there's hope for you two." He muttered, Hoseok only nodded as he looked back down at his desk, reading, but not retaining any of the information.

The night after Yoongi cut their tie was obviously a struggle. Even though the pain went away, Hoseok's wrist still felt uncomfortable. No matter how he lay or what he did to ease the feeling, it was still there.

Then his thoughts were going a thousand miles per hour. Constantly thinking. Thinking of what Yoongi could be doing at that moment. Asleep? Cuddling with Seojun? Going for another round? Is Yoongi even thinking of him? Is he regretting what he did? If only.

Hoseok may or may not have cried for another fifteen minutes that night. The reality of it all hit him a second time as he stared at the empty spot on his bed. The spot Yoongi had slept in when he was there that one time. It was cringy and stupid to think about. But it happened anyways.

It's so hard getting over losing your tie, the reality hits you over and over again. He was constantly getting emotional. Hoseok had entered the building with plans to confront Seojun or Yoongi, the angry, destructive part of him wanted to give them a piece of his mind. But he didn't see either of them so that feeling went away. He almost cried again when he entered his office. This time, he couldn't tell you why. The need to cry just came and went before he could let a tear slip.

And now, he feels tired and empty, like nothing in the world could possibly matter. Looking at these papers on this desk, he's thinking of fucking quitting. But he won't, he knows this feeling is only temporary.

"Hoseok."

"Hmm?"

"Do you want me to leave?" Jin asked, Hoseok met his eyes and sadly nodded. "I think I need more time alone. My head is all over the place."

"Alright." Jin said, for once, not asking questions. He stood and walked towards the door. "Call me if you need anything." And then he was gone.

*******

Yoongi sighed as he sat at his desk. After Jin said he was disappointed in him, he couldn't focus on a single thing. Either there was too much noise or something across the room caught his attention. He saw Jin walk past a couple times and thought about stopping again, so he could ask why he was disappointed. Why he gave Yoongi that look when they talked earlier. He didn't look mad, not even upset, but he didn't look the happiest either.

He didn't even blink when he noticed someone had sat beside him, he knew it was Seojun. Of course it was him. Who else would it be?

"You seem down."

"Not in the mood for work today." Yoongi muttered, he didn't turn his head to look at him, he just kept staring at a specific spot on the desk. He felt Seojun's eyes on him, his eyes are always on him.
