Third Person POV

Perth and Saint were both speechless for a brief moment. Then Perth turned to Saint.

"How long have you been staying there?" Perth asked.

Before Saint could answer, Paolo interrupted with "I'm not sure how to get there. You guys better give me directions."

Iain turned to Paolo, "Babe, I don't think any one of them knows how to get there from here. Don't forget they are visitors. They are not from here."

"I can give directions," Saint volunteered.

Unnoticed by anyone, Saint had gone on the traffic app on his phone.

"They better be accurate directions," Paolo muttered under his breath. "I don't wanna waste my gas because you got us all lost."

"Oww!" Paolo yelped after Iain gave him a painful pinch on his thigh.

Thanks to Saint's phone app, soon Paolo was driving his car to the entrance of the Pearl of the Orient hotel.

Saint and Perth thanked Paolo for the ride and said their goodbyes to Iain and his mom.

As Perth and Saint were about to climb the steps going up to the hotel lobby, Iain called out to Perth, "Babe, don't forget to call me!"

There was a loud screech as Paolo stepped hard on the brakes.

"Sino tinatawag mo na 'babe' huh???" Perth and Saint heard Paolo yelling at Iain.

A/N: Translation of above phrase: Which one of them is your 'babe'?

Perth did not wait to see or hear what else transpired between Paolo and Iain. He ran up the steps, leaving Saint behind, who stayed to make sure that Iain didn't need his help in case Paolo made any more trouble for him.

Perth walked up to the front desk to register back in and to pick up his key card. He wanted to go up to his room already but he was curious to know in what room Saint was staying.

Perth made small talk with the receptionist in order not to make it look like he was actually waiting for Saint to get to the front desk.

"So what are the popular tourist spots here in Manila?" he asked the receptionist.

"You can go to the Manila bay to watch the sunrise if you are an early riser, or to watch the sunset if you are not a morning person," the receptionist replied.

"I would like to do that," Perth said. "I am not much of a morning person, so i will go there just before dinner."

"That's a good idea," the receptionist responded. "There are a lot of fine restaurants that line the whole stretch of the boulevard fronting Manila bay."

Perth was wondering what was taking Saint so long to come up to the front desk.

"What other popular tourist spots do you recommend?" Perth asked the receptionist, in an effort to prolong his stay at the front desk.

"Well... " the receptionist furrowed her eyebrows. Then her face lit up as she remembered something.

The receptionist quickly walked over to a stand on one side of the lobby and picked one brochure and handed it to Perth.

"This brochure contains all the possible interesting places to visit while you are here in Manila," she said to Perth as she handed him the brochure.

"Thank you so much," Perth said with a smile.

Just at that moment, Perth looked up to see Saint walking towards the front desk.

"Saint Suppapong, room 603," Saint gave his information to the receptionist before turning to Perth.

"What's in that brochure?" Saint asked Perth.

"Oh, this contains all the interesting places that visitors could check out while they are here," Perth replied. "By the way, did you just say that you're staying in room 603?"

"Yes," Saint replied. "Why?"

"Because I heard from some of the hotel staff that that room is haunted," Perth replied, feeling thoroughly ashamed of himself for his blatant lie.

Saint turned to the receptionist who was now handing him his key card.

"Is it true that ... " but before Saint could finish his sentence, Perth placed his hand over Saint's mouth. He placed his arm around Saint's waist and started pulling him away from the front desk and pushing him towards the elevator service area.

When they stopped in front of the set of elevators, Perth let go of Saint and said to him, "I don't recommend you asking the receptionist about it because the hotel staff who's spreading the information might get fired."

Saint did not say anything but was just nodding his head thoughtfully.

Then when the elevator doors opened, Perth stood aside to let Saint walk into the elevator first before stepping inside to stand closely beside Saint.

Saint leaned towards the number pad of the elevator.

"On what floor are you getting off?" he asked Perth, his finger hovering over the number pad.

"Sixth," Perth replied absentmindedly before realizing that it was the same floor where Saint's room was.

Saint's eyes grew wide.

"In what room are you staying?" he asked Perth, his voice barely above a whisper, his heart suddenly racing like a bullet train.

"Room 602," Perth replied, swallowing hard.
