Seohyun didn't understand.

She didn't understand why Jungkook refused to answer her questions, becoming awfully defensive when the woman tried to ask him about recent events. Seohyun had been calm, she didn't insult him, yet Jungkook started another argument. He was incredibly sensitive today, misunderstanding her completely. It was frustrating.

"You don't trust me, do you?"

"I didn't say that, I was just asking about the envelope in our mailbox-"

"And now you're spying on me? I didn't do anything wrong!"

"Then why are you acting like I'm accusing you of anything? I was just worried about you-"

"There's nothing to worry about, I'm fine!"

Seohyun shook her head as she continued to water the flowers. Gardening was a great distraction and easy way to avoid Jungkook, who had locked himself into his office.

"Madam, I've finished cleaning up Haeun's room. Do you need any help?"

Seohyun smiled at the girl, nodding.

"Thank you, Yerim. You can help me remove the dead plants."

"Of course!"

Yerim was their new maid. Jungkook had hired her, and even though Seohyun was a bit confused since he hadn't informed her about it first, she still welcomed her warmly. The girl was young but very hardworking, and she also got along well with Haeun. Seohyun really appreciated her work, especially since Yerim was also a fun person to hang out with. Almost like a little sister. Seohyun definitely regretted not accepting an employee sooner. She could finally relax a bit.

They both sat down, continuing to work together. Yerim asked her a few questions about the different flowers, and Seohyun gladly answered them. It was nice having someone around to talk to, especially about things she enjoyed doing in her free time.

"What are these called?"

Seohyun looked at the flowers Yerim was pointing at, smiling gently.

"Dahlia. They demonstrate the lasting bond and commitment between two people."

"That's beautiful. Maybe I should buy some for the guy I'm seeing?" Yerim murmured, admiring the plants happily. Seohyun chuckled.

"Why not? Women can buy men flowers too. But if you guys just started dating, then maybe you should choose something else. These are usually gifted in a long-term relationship."

"Got it. What about those then?" She pointed at a bunch of yellow roses.

"They symbolize friendship and joy. My friends and I buy these roses for each other's birthdays."

"Oh, maybe better not then. Hey, I know these ones! Aren't they called.. um- car.."

"Carnation, yes. I really like them too."

"What's their meaning?" Yerim wondered, carefully touching their petals.

"Well, each color symbolizes something different. The pink ones stand for a Mother's undying love. Jungkook and Haeun planted them for me, on mother's day."

"That's so cool. Hm.. maybe I should call my mother too. I haven't talked to her in a while."

"Please do. When you get older, you tend to focus on other things- especially if you have your own family. I often times forget to reach out to my parents," Seohyun told her and smiled bitterly, "I miss her a lot."
