Rantaro POV
"It's ok I brought my sleeping bag to sleep in"
"But it's not fair! You should sleep on my bed, I'll take the couch", Kokichi insisted.
"But that's not fair.."
Kokichi thought about it then grinned.
"But then where should I sleep? I'd have absolutely nowhere to go." he said dramatically.
"Well...I...hmm..." I thought for a sec as Kokichi looked at me.
"Hmm oh well. I'll just sleep with you!", He said with a big smile waiting for my reaction.
And boy did he get one. Almost immediately my face heated up. It looked so red that even tomatoes didn't stand a chance at being more red than it.
"W-W-Wha I- Um-uh-"
He began to laugh, loving my reaction. The cuteness on his face when he laughed didn't help calm me down. In fact, it just made me even more flustered.
"I'm kidding-"
"Ok I can sleep with you"
I said completely unaware that he was joking. When I finally realized what he said and when I finally realized what I said, I covered my mouth in shock. I braced myself for Kokichi's teasing but when I saw his face...he was...
...blushing.
And once he saw me look at him he was even more embarrassed.
"U-Um I guess you can sleep with me then..." he said in a quiet voice hoping not to embarrass himself further.
"I'll go take a shower ok Kichi"
Kokichi looked away hiding his facial expression."Ok..."
I got into the shower and turned the water on. I made sure it was freezing cold so that maybe I could cool off. But no matter if it was a light cool or an icy cold, when it hit my skin it felt warm, and when I got out of the shower I was still red. I don't know why but when I saw my face I started to smile weirdly.
I have no real clue why but I felt all warm and fuzzy inside. I didn't know why though, what this feeling was, or why I felt like this now. All I really wanted to do was make sure Kokichi had a friend...
...but that's a lie and I know it. Friends don't usually get this feeling of...how do I describe it...
