Chapter 27 ( Milo )

" But other people can't see me! " I say, looking confused at the kid. 

" Really? But I can. " he answers. 

Does it mean this kid could see ghosts?? Ah, I get it. 

" I am Kathleen. I died a day ago. My mother is in that room. " I point to the room. 

" Oh. So you are a ghost.. " his face doesn't look frightened. 

" I am Milo. I am 6. " he is a year younger than me. 

" I am 7.Nice to meet you! " I reach out my hand but he can't touch me. 

" Oh sorry. I don't think I can touch you. " he says. 

" Yeah, I think so , too. " I say as I look at him. He is the same height as me with short brown hair and black eyes. He wears a blue pajamas and holds a teddy bear . This kid looks cute.

" You bored? Follow me. " I follow him. We then reach a small storage room. It also has a small bed in it. 

" I am using this room for a while. " he says. Then, he picks up a comic book and calls me to sit beside him on the bed. 

" What's that? " I ask . 

" A book that my brother gives me as a birthday present last year. " 

" Your brother?? Where is he? " I ask. 

" My cousin. I used to live in a very big house with him but for some reasons, my mom forces me to stay here for a month. I am still attending school but I have to move here." he answers with a sad face. 

" Doesn't your mom worry about your education? " 

" She says she already told my class teacher that I would take a leave for a month. Seems like she can't help. I think I am here because of her work. She is a doctor here. " 

" I see.. But don't worry. You will get to meet your friends soon! " I smile and cheers him up. 

" Mn! What happened to you though? " he asks. 

" Well, I died in a car crash. My dad died , too. And my mother has gone insane.. " I answer. 

" Oh no. That is bad. So bad. I can't even imagine being in your situation. " 

" Well, yeah. I know this is bad. But I can't help, can I ? " I say. 

" I have been reading this comic for about 10 times in a day already. I wish I could listen to something interesting.. " 

" Why? Don't you like the comic that your cousin brother gave? " 

" Of course I like it! We read it together a lot, too. Now I can even tell which word is said by which character in which page. I have nothing to do! " he groans. 

" Do you wanna hear something impossible? " 

" Impossible? What do you mean by that? " 

" If you want, I can tell you about me. It is a bit unbelievable. " 

" I wanna hear it!! " he says with an excitement look in his face. I guess nothing bad will happen if I tel him about my past life and stuff.. 

" Ok then. Actually, I remember my past life! " 

" Impossible! Is that something you can learn?? " 

" Of course not, silly! " 

" Don't call me silly. You are only a year older than me. " 

" I am actually about 23 if I count it from my last life. " 

" Really??? Amazing! Tell me more about it!!! "
