25. Trip

After the two had gotten Ua'sa out of the cells the two trained a little longer under a different teacher waiting for the Yautja ship to be prepped they knew it wouldn't be easy to track the Ic'jit that was Ua'sa's father Kyle knew he would need to keep an eye on him in their travels Kyle's mind travelled to the other clans of the yautja and what they would be like knowing some of them have different ways

Kyle: hey um teacher I was wondering how many clans there are Teach: well there are many Ooman no one knows exactly how many there are as many clans are being created or destroyed the number changes so often that we can't keep track of how many there are we just keep connected something the last leader didn't do much of but we have been reconnecting with past clans Ua'sa: we have met a few of them well those who think they will be the next leaders but they always change as leaders are knocked off there throwns as that's the law all clans have no one can change it otherwise it's considered an Ic'jit move and the leader would be killed Kyle: right Teach: it's good to know you know the laws of the clans a lot of what you know is right so it's good to know that wasn't changed Ua'sa: ya

Kyle knew that the whole thing was still taking a burden on Ua'sa Kyle tried to be helpful as possible with him it only took a few more hours for the ship to be prepped they put some more things for the two to learn on the ship since they were both now considered younglings in the way of the clan but this would count as their first blood knowing this Kyle felt a little bad about who it was walking into the ship Ua'sa went off as Kyle set a course to follow the Ic'jit and his crew knowing it wouldn't be an easy thing to do once set Kyle walked out to find Ua'sa finding him working on the weapons they were supplied with he walked over and sat next to him

Kyle: hey how are you going Ua'sa: fine Kyle: I know you're not I can tell when you lie your mandibles do this thing I can easily tell with that Ua'sa: it's just all that's happened in the last few months I thought you would be back on your planet as it seemed like where you wanted to be Kyle: and miss this I mean how many humans get to go into space let alone learn the ways of another race and meet someone like... I set a course and have checked that there wasn't any Nox in the area as this isn't their space they may be trying to gain it but can't I also checked the war to see where that is at and we're not heading anywhere near the line so we should be fine Ua'sa: right um yes we should get the computer to do a scan of the ship Computer: I am getting on to that so far nothing Kyle: does the computer listen in Computer: only when my name is called if I hear half of a conversation I will predict what was said in point two of a human second Kyle: right that's a little creepy Computer: I also monitor all occupants and the two are in good condition Kyle: right um how many times do you do that Computer: it is a standard protocol I do it every second unless you're in your room

Ua'sa: I know she can creep some out but you get used to it Kyle: right that's all I have to report Ua'sa: can you not say this like we're a crew it's just the two of us and we've seen each other through a lot I'm sure we can drop all that Kyle: right sure I'll be going back to the bridge if you want anything from me Ua'sa: ya

Kyle thought about his friend wondering if it was the job they were given or just the fact he was going to be fighting his father Kyle hoped he could help him
