Crossing your fingers, doesn't mean you get to break a promise. It's not your way out of a tough situation.
Contrary to what little children believe, if you make a promise, you keep it.
Well I made a promise. And I broke it. That promise was love, and I gave it to somebody else. I made an unforgivable mistake, because I made a promise I couldn't keep. I lied to myself and everybody around me. He broke it too. He made the same mistake I did, and at the same time he kept me together. Kept me sane.
I still realized love, and promises are not as simple as a walk in the park. It takes time to heal these open wounds which I have brought down upon myself. Even when I'm not bleeding, scars will be left behind, showing the mistakes I've made, the promises I have broken, and how many times I've loved.
Trust me when I say, Love is just a promise.
