"you're safe with me." her hand stroked his cheek slowly, her eyes stared at him with obsession and admiration. she traced her thumb across his cheek as he stared to the ground with his red eyes

his misery never giving him a chance to breathe. "i'll protect you. i'll protect you from everything." her words felt like a threat more than trust. he parted his lips only to close them again

"i promise that you'll be safe. just stick with me." she lifted his head up to face hers. his shaking pupils make her frown, "don't be scared. there's nothing to be scared about."

grabbing a hold of her hand he pushed it off, "i-i don't like this.. attention.." he began to back up making her eyes flare up. her slow yet powerful steps only making him more fearful

"what are you scared about? me? i'm not scary? i'll protect you. i'll always protect you." her grin made him feel small. his fight or flight activating yet he couldn't move

"don't. look. away. from. me." she emphasized each of her words grabbed a hold of his arm and pulling him towards her. her lips dripping with venom

he shook under her touch which made the corners of her lip perk up into a sickening smile. they parted emitting a laugh saying a million words, "i'll only give you attention. is that what you want? you'll be the spotlight of my theatre." 

the noises of doors opening made both of their heads shoot to the sound. he took the moment to push her off and run like his life depended on it. 

"a game of cat chase mouse i see? i love it."
