Vengeful Fire (Possessed Kai ninjago fanfic)

Chapter Nine

Nya stared is disbelief. "The mech?! How is it here?!" She asked, looking at the others.

Lloyd looked at the possessed mech noticing it had some damage possibly from when it fell. But it appears that the ghost made it no issue to its movement.

The giant mech turned, caughting sight of the ninja. Standing with two of of its arms holding swords and the other two empty handed. It raised up one of its arms, it prepared to swing it down and crush the four.

"Look out!" Lloyd yelled, pointing at the arm that began coming down at them.
The four jumped out of its way, avoiding its attack.

Cole quickly threw his aeroblade at the mech only for it to bounce off its hard armor. He grunted in disappointed. "Its armor is too tough. I can't get my areoblade through." He said going for his fallen aeroblade and avoiding one of its swings from its long swords. He quickly grabbed the weapon and yelped, barely missing the mech's attack as it clashed down behind him.

Lloyd jumped onto a roof top of one of the half damaged building. "Then we'll have to think of another plan." He said, turning to Nya who was with Zane. "Nya! Could you use your element on it?!"

Nya yelped as she avoided falling debri and looked up at Lloyd. "Nhg- I can't! Theres no water around for me to use!" She said getting up to high ground.

Zane jumped up along with her. "I'll try to use my element to freeze it in place. With that done, the fire might melt some of the ice for you to use." Zane said.

Nya nodded. "Alright, let's give it a shot." She said.

Lloyd nodded. "Alright guys." He said and looked at Cole. "Cole, help me distract it so it can stay in place!"

Cole looked at the possessed machine and nodded. "Alright! Let's do this!" He said and started running around.

Zane started using element on the mech, covering its arms in ice and trying to freeze its feet to the ground.
Upset, the mech ran one of its large swords down at the ice, breaking it before the ice could grow thicker.

Cole grunted and used his scythe to scrape off some the broken roof peices, sending it at the mech's head.
It's headed tilted to the side at each broken peice that fell at it. The mech turned, looking at the earth ninja before receiving a blast at its side from Lloyd. The mech faced Lloyd and quickly sliced down its sword at him.

Lloyd yelped, jumping to the side right as the sword fell down at the roof, creating a huge hole.
Lloyd took a few breathes before looking up at the mech as it prepared another attack.

The mech stopped its attack as it noticed ice starting to freeze up its legs and armor. The mech shifted, trying to break the ice before, receiving more blasts from the Ice ninja.

Angry, the mech tried to get its foot free but failed as stone and rocks grew up is foot, trapping it in the ground.

The ninja took this as an advantage to attack it from all sides. Lloyd, Cole and Zane used their elements at the mech, damaging its armor.

The possessed mech shook as it put up its arms from its sides.

The ninja froze at the strange action before shifting when they realized what it was doing when it started to spin its arms around.

"Watch out!!!" Lloyd yelled, quickly taking cover as the others tried.

Zane put up his arms as he tried to find shelter through the flying rubble and debri. He ducked behind a strong looking structure, receiving a few scarpes from a nasty hit that came from out of no where.

The mech eventually stopped when it managed to break off the ice that was stuck on its armor as well as freeing itself from the ground. The possessed mech looked around, searching for any sign of the ninja.

Nya climed out of her shelter, moving some wood that had gotten in the way. She looked up at the mech that hadn't noticed her yet. Luck came to her side when she noticed the machine had blown away some of the fire and had caused some of Zane's ice to melt. She reached out her hand to the nearest puddle of water, struggling to get it to bend to her will. "Come on..." She said, trying to use her power.

"Nya look out!" Cole cried out as he phased through the rubble he was blown in.

Nya gasped, looking up when she noticed the Mech's sword, ready to sling down at her. She gasped quickly jumping to the side and stopping when one of its arms came down, blocking her escape and prepared another attack.

"She needs our help." Lloyd said, coming out from his shelter. He sent a blast of energy when it raised its arm again, moving it away from the air.
The mech stumbled, facing the green ninja.

Nya turned her attention back to the water that laid around, struggling and watched as Lloyd and the others fight it. she gritted her death as she desperately tried to control the water from around. "Come on..." she said, struggling. She watched in fear at the state she was in with the team. They were all relying on her. Her hand clutched from frustration. If only Kai were here. He'd be able to help her. But he wasn't. Losing her brother to Morro had her lose the focuss that she had gained. She let out an exhausted sigh and looked out tiredly at the others. No! She can't hold them back. They are all relying on her. They need her. She growled as she attempted to use her powers again. She watched as water flowed up as her hand raised up in the air. More water began to follow as she combined it all together.

Mean while, the mech continued fighting the other three before hearing Nya yell.

"Hey! Ghost!" Nya yelled as the mech turned its attention to her. "Get out... of my... Mech!" She shouted. Moving her hands infront of her and bending all the water to hit the mech.

The mech fell back as the water clashed against it, stumbing before falling back against the ground. It's dark and green color faded as the mech turned back into its original red color.

Nya jumped up on her now damaged mech, looking at the terrible state the ghost and the battle did to her hard work.

The ninja looked at it before noticing the ghost that had been controlling it trying to flee.

The ghost stumbled before being knocked over and against the ground by the black ninja.

"I don't think so..." Cole growled, holding his deepstone scythe close to the ghost's neck.

Lloyd walked up to Cole and the ghost as the others catched up behind him. "Where's Morro..." Lloyd asked, looking down at the ghost.

The ghost looked up at them and chuckled. "You're too late.. He's already gone to find another piece to free our master... You could also say he's visiting a close friend to one of your own..."

Nya shifted realizing who the ghost was talking about. "Skylor... He's going after Skylor!" She told them.

Lloyd's expression changed to concern, quickly realizing the danger she was in.

Cole stumbled as the ghost quickly vanished from under his foot. He growled, watching as the ghost got away. "I hate ghosts..." He said before pausing Zane right as he was about to say something. "I know what I said. I hate these Ghosts." He clarified and shook his head.

"If Morro is going after Skylor we have to hurry." Lloyd said, looking out the direction of where ninjago city was.
