When they walked back from their quick tour, she saw Christian wave at her, which she replied with a smile on her face. 'he fancies you for sure', Emily chuckled when she saw their interaction and Christian's warm smile. 'He's friendly. Do they all have to fancy me?' Scar rolled her eyes. 'They do when it's you and your mile-long legs and killer smile', Emile winked cheekily, Britta agreeing next to her with a thoughtful look on her gaze and Scar felt her cheeks glowed in faint pink colour. 'Whatever', she mumbled and waved her hand to ignore the comment, she struggled to take any compliments. Besides, Emily's comment wasn't anywhere near the truth. Not all men fancied her.

Emily and Britta continued escorting her, pointing towards random things, explaining things nonstop until they stopped in front of a silver-white building. 'The heart and soul of this circuit.' Britta said grandly, earning a blank look from Scar. 'FIA?' Scar scanned the bold three letters on top of the entrance. 'Like FINA?' Emily nodded earnestly. 'Exactly! Governmental body for motorsports across different categories. ' - and we're here, because-?' A secretive look landed on Emily's face when she nudged Scar inside. *you'll see in a minute.'

The building was equally sleek and sanitised from inside than outside. Emily let them along the white-walled hallway with photos of drivers holding trophies. 'They're multi-world championship winners from previous years and decades'. Emily mentioned when Scar had a wondering look on her features when she let her eyes travel from photo to photo before spotting Seb at one of the pictures. 'Oh.'

'They're famous, even more than you are', Emily teased, and Scar mumbled something under her breath before they stepped into a conference room. To Scar's surprise, Britta walked to the other side of the table, giving her a wink before sitting down to her spot, jumping into a conversation with other attendees. 'Why are we here?'

'You'll know soon. Sit.' Emily urged when she sat down and reached out to her water glass and snacks on the table. Scar tapped her legs nervously as she was slowly gathering missing puzzles together. However, she hoped she was wrong. The buzz quietened down when a man in his 50s flanked a spoon against his water glass. 'Alright, let's get started then. First, Emily, thank you so much for the last-minute attendance. We're so happy to have you and Scarlette joining us.' Scar's eyes met Emily's, puzzled. 'Let's start the interview, shall we?' All the colour ran out of Scar's face when she heard the word 'interview.' Cheez, thanks, Emily.

The five media professional began their grilling, throwing their questions at her. Her responses were mechanic, years of media training conducted by Emily, who beamed next to her when she nailed the question after question. Britta smiled encouragingly. 'Since we're running out of time... One last question. Where do you find your aspiration in life?' Her eyes glimmered mischievously, and Scar's corners of her mouth turned up. 'I am passionate about giving 100% on everything I do and exceeding challenges. I grave for self-development, and I thrive in complex, messy and tough situations. In the end, I am an athlete by heart.'

'Excellent answer', the man later-introduced Graham complimented. 'It was an excellent question.' Scar praised Graham with a pearl white smile. Graham shared looks along with his peers before he ended the meeting, promising of contacting Scar during the weekend. Although Scar thanked the meeting, she wasn't sure if she had just landed a job on something she wasn't aware of.

The trio walked out the meeting room, Emily and Britta beaming and throwing proud looks towards their child who had aced on something her parents had expected her to do. Scar slowed down her phase before stopping in the middle of the paddock, ignoring people passing by her. Britta and Emily turned around, throwing impatient looks towards her. 'Scarlette?' Britta called, worry laced in her voice. 'Ah, sorry. I must have dozed off for a moment. What's next on the agenda?' Emily shot a long look towards her direction. 'Britta's client is done with his meetings, so they have media engagements. I'll have a client meeting that I can't take you...' Scar sighed when Emily's words at the plane repeated in her ears. She wouldn't be alone this weekend. 'I'll keep myself busy. Where can I-?'
