𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 - 𝐝.𝐦 !!𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐝!!

𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙖𝙨𝙠

"We'll meet you back in the common room." Hermione told harry, as she got up to go with ron. "Bring as many of these books as you two can, okay?"

I nodded my head.

"Right." Harry said uneasily.

By eight o'clock, madam pince had extinguished all the lamps and came to tell us we had to leave. We carried as many books as we could back to the common room, and sat them on a table in the corner. After a while, my eyes started to get heavy.

"I'm sorry, harry, but I just can't keep doing this. I need to go to bed."

"It's okay. Go on ahead. Thank you for helping."

"If you need anything, just send hermione up for me."

The next morning, I woke up, but didn't see hermione. I got dressed (the outfit), and went down for breakfast. Harry, ron and hermione were all not there either. I quickly ate my food, and followed the crowd down to the second task.

"Where are you going, cousin?" Sebastian threw his arm over my shoulders. Xavier stepped up on sebastian's other side, and draco came up on my free side, slipping his hand into mine.

"I'm going the same place you're going to." I said. "I didn't see any of my friends, so I thought they would already be down there."

"In other words, you don't want to hang out with us."

I shook my head, and rolled my eyes. "That's not true, draco. I was wondering if they figured out how harry is going to do the task today."

"Yeah, about that..." Sebastian rubbed his chin. "Since you're friends with 'The great harry potter', do you know what the task is today?"

"You're really not that smart, are you?" Xavier raised an eyebrow at him. "We're walking towards the black lake."

"I figured it had something to do with that. But what exactly do they have to do?"

"Something important to each of the champions was taken. They have to get it back." I informed them.

"Oh, that's easy."

We soon reached the dock, and I recognized the boats we all rode in when we first arrived at hogwarts. The boys stepped in one, and I hesitated.

"What's wrong, love?" Draco held his hand out to me.

"I'm trying to figure out how to get in." I looked down to my dress and shoes. I've never really done this.

Draco suddenly scooped me up bridal style, making me yelp. He placed me in a seat next to him, and we were off. The boat docked at one of the stands in the middle of the lake. We climbed up, and leaned against the railing closest to the judges table. Harry was there, wearing swimming trunks and a tank top.

He looked up to me and mouthed, 'Where's ron and hermione?' I shrugged my shoulders in response. I looked around the stands. Where are they? They should be here by now.

"Welcome to the second task!" The voice of ludo bagman boomed. "Last night, something was stolen from each of our champions. A treasure of sorts. These four treasures, one for each champion, now lie in the bottom of the black lake. In order to win, each champion needs to only find their treasure and return to the surface. They have precisely one hour, and one hour only."

My mind started to connect the dots. Something was stolen from each of the champions last night. That was the last time harry and I had seen both ron and hermione. "Oh shit!"

"Y/n, watch your mouth." Xavier scolded.

"On the count of three. One..." Bagman started to count down. "two... three!"

A whistle echoed shrilly in the cold, still air; the stands erupted around me with cheers and applause. Krum, cedric and fleur all jumped straight into the water, while harry was shoving something in his mouth, and moody pushed him in the water. It was silent as we waited.

"Do you think they thought of the crowd when they made up this task?" Draco asked.

"Obviously not." I laughed.

He was right. It's not fun watching water for an hour. It seemed to take forever. Suddenly, fleur came back up, but her hostage wasn't with her. She was pulled back on the deck below us, and she was fighting tooth with madam pomfrey to jump back into the water. Then cedric and cho's heads broke through the surface of the water, signaling that they were the first back. Then it was krum and hermione, and I smirked. Then it was harry, with ron and a little blonde girl. Little nigel, who was on the other side of draco was cheering loudly. Draco scoffed at harry's return, and pushed nigels hat further down his face. I gently elbowed him in the stomach, and reached over to fix the poor boys hat.

I jumped when ludo bagman's voice rang out over the lake again. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have reached our decision. Merchieftainess murcus has told us exactly what happened at the bottom of the lake, and we have therefore decided to award marks out of fifty for each of the champions, as follows... miss fleur delacour, though she demonstrated excellent use of the bubble head charm, was attacked by grindylows as she approached her goal, and failed to retrieve her hostage. We award her twenty five points." Applause from the crowd. "Mr. cedric diggory, who also used the bubble head charm, was first to return with his hostage, though he returned one minute outside the time limit of an hour. We therefore award him forty seven points!" I clapped my hands together with everyone else. "Mr. viktor krum used an incomplete form of transfiguration, which was nevertheless effective, and was second to return with his hostage. We award him forty points." The crowd applauded again. "Mr. harry potter used gillyweed to great effect. He returned last, and well outside the limit of an hour. However, the mercheiftainess informs us that mr. potter was first to reach the hostages, and that the delay in his return was due to his determination to return all hostages to safety, not merely his own. Most of the judges feel that this shows moral fibre and merits full marks. However... mr. potter's score is forty five points."

My eyes widen. He's tied with cedric for first place! I cheered loudly for him at this point.

"The third and final task will take place at dusk on the twenty fourth of june." Bagman continued. "The champions will be notified of what is coming, precisely one month beforehand. Thank you all for your support of the champions."

I don't know how i feel about this chapter.
