Bloody Hell! She only recognised Seb due to the past shared sponsor events. The rest, she stared at them with a blank face. While she stepped down to the ground, she squeezed her hair drier, hoping the dripping water would stop soon. She ignored the drivers as she had no clue what they were up to anyhow. 'Hey, Smith!' Seb's voice boomed and forced her to stop packing her stuff. She stood up before she turned around to face the blondie. 'What?' Her voice was ice cold, matching the stare she was giving him. She was met with a flirty smirk and cheese wink. She growled in disgust.

The others seemed curious why the pair were so hostile towards each other. The encounter was awkward, but above all, Scar felt exposed the first time ever when the ocean blue eyes pierced through her and scanned every inch of her body. She heard a groan, but it was so quiet that she wasn't sure if she had heard correctly.

Her random and questionable thoughts were interrupted when a guy with crazy hair and a cheeky smile extended his hand. 'Hi. I'm Dan. I believe we have an event together this evening.' His Aussie accent sliced through all the words, making Scar giggle at the memories of her time in Australia. 'Another friendly face then. I'm Scarlette, Scar for short. It's a pleasure.' She flashed a flirty smile when she shook his hand.

Before they had a chance to engage in more in-depth conversation, Emerson appeared next to Scar, planting a moist kiss on her lips. 'Hello, love. Ready to go?' He beamed, and Scar smiled at him before she nodded her head. She turned around to excuse herself from the group. She met a sea of wide eyes, staring at her and Emerson with 'wow' playing on their lips.

'This is my husband, Emerson', she put her arm around Emerson's waist and beamed at him, looking every inch in love when she looked at her husband of five years. 'Where do you normally train? I have never seen you before, and I come here semi-regularly.' Dan blurred it out.

Scar and Emerson shared an amused look, almost like an inside joke debating whose turn it was. 'We're based in London', Emerson started. 'At the moment we train in National Centre for Swimming, in Bath. Or wherever her sponsor event leads us.' Emerson laughed affectionately and gave a chase kiss to her hair. 'That's us', Scar giggled and casually directed her eyes on Seb, which made her pout. He looked upset. She shrugged as she had no idea what was going on in his mind, nor was she interested. On the contrary, she was compelled by Emerson when he was around.

'Scar? We need to hit the gym before midnight', Bob's irritated voice yelled from a distance, and she turned scarlet red from embarrassment. 'Now, I gotta go. Dan, see you later. E, love, catch you later. Love you', She phased herself quickly from the circle, placing a quick kiss on Emerson's lips before she quickly gathered her stuff, hitting the showers. Then heading to the gym.

Scar knew she was in trouble the minute she stepped into the airy gym. She flashed a sheepish smile when Bob remained stonefaced. 'Sorry, sorry - I, eh, I-'

'Leave it.' Bob's voice was trembling with fury. 'Let's start with the circuit. You know the drill. 1-minute exercise, 20-second rest, 3 rounds. Ready?' The challenge flashed past Bob's eyes, and Scar sighed. She would lose this argument as Bob had the upper hand: making her life living hell for the upcoming hour. She nodded in defeat, and the first command struck through the air; 59 minutes and 58 seconds left to freedom.

Scar's whole body was achieving from the gym where Bob had bumped and pushed every single muscle group she owned in her body. She groaned out of exhaustion when she strolled towards the event venue.

There were days when Scar questioned the whole craziness of the swimmer's life; the constant push and pull, the emotional juggles, endless analysis of her strengths and weaknesses. But, on the flip side, she wouldn't have met half as many amazing people during her journey. Although Scar was angry that she had to stop what she loved the most, Scar was mad at the world, and even deep down to herself, she still had loved every minute of it. Since Andrea's sessions, Scar has slowly turned back to herself than a shadow of her former self.
