Andrea listened to her intensively, taking notes whilst she spoke. Scar cringed when she heard the alarm clock ringing. Andrea smiled nervously when she turned the timer off. 'I use this in case we get carried away. Sadly, our time is up for today. We'll continue next week', She said and smiled when she stood up and made her way back to her desk.
Scar blinked as she had been in her zone that she had partly forgotten where she was. 'Sure. I'll see you next week', she murmured absently before she slowly walked out of the room, feeling drained from the session but also more at ease. Scar thought she had someone on her side, and she wasn't utterly alone with her thoughts. However, she didn't have time to rest as she made her way to the airport. The next destination was a sponsor's event in Monaco. At the same time as Monaco Grand Prix, with her favourite athletes ever.

Stroke after stroke. The pain had eased after the doctor had given her tips on how to take care of the shoulder. Then Scar could prepare in the best possible way for the Olympics. The arm felt slightly stiff due to the tapes on the arms to support the muscles. She knew it looked ridiculous, but it was one of the few things that allowed her to train with minimal pain.
She took one last stroke until she hit her hand to the wall, and she surfaced her head from the bliss into the waves and shouts. She shook her head to get rid of the water in her ears, lifted the goggles to her forehead before she elevated her gaze to look at Bob. He was hovering above her at the edge of the pool. 'Looking good, Scar.' Bob complimented her and signalled her to get up so they could practise her start. She pulled herself up with ease, her triceps flexing little to carry her weight.
She heard the whistles as she usually did when they trained outdoors. She smirked as she knew her training bikinis left very little room for imagination. Her body was close to perfection due to the hours spent at the pool, gym, pilates, yoga and ballet. Bob shook his head in disgust and pulled Scar's focus back to the next event in front of her. 'Scar, I know you prefer the male attention before training, but you have ten seconds before the whistle blows.' You know what that means. She gulped, and her attention was instantly back into the sets, as she didn't fancy jogging the extra 5k that day like she had done the day before.
Once she was standing on the podium at the end of the pool, all distractions waded away. Her hands gripped at the edge, and her senses heightened to hear the whistle. Once the call came, she flew in the air, breaking the water soon enough. The dolphin kicks kicked in until she finally broke the surface with a first stroke, another until she knew it was time to turn with repetitive actions back. The whole time she was surrounded by emptiness and bliss.
The noises returned again when she hit the wall and lifted her head above the surface to meet Bob's eyes. He had a thoughtful look on his face. 'What is it?' she wondered impatiently as she was keen on feedback on what needed to improve. 'I don't know how you do it, Scar', Bob scratched his head, looking at the stopwatch. 'This is the fastest lap you have ever swum in practice. Your start is sharper, which is good. There is still some work to do with your underwater kicks and the first stroke, but we're close.' Bob boomed, and Scar was relieved. The pushing through the pain was finally paying off.
'Let's do cool down, and we should be done after cool down before we hit the gym.' Bob tapped her head gently to praise her for her excellent work. She flashed a tired smile, and she swam lazily on her back, trying to relax her muscles from the lactic acid.
Scar sighed in relief when she took her swim cap and goggles off, wetting her hair before she pushed herself up. The whistles continued, and she turned sharply around with a witty remark that got caught on her throat when she saw the source of the noise.
