Alisha and Hermione sat under their usual tree by the Black Lake, chatting away. Emma hid behind a tree close by, her wand held tightly in her hand. She pointed her wand at the branch above Alisha and Hermione, muttering an incantation under her breath. She smiled as she watched the familiar green plant with white berries grow on the branch above her friends. It continued to grow until Alisha and Hermione finally noticed it.
"Why is mistletoe growing on a tree at Hogwarts? It's not even Christmas," Hermione said. Alisha chuckled, immediately knowing that this was the work of Emma. Hermione blushed as she met Alisha's eyes. Alisha chewed her lip, raising her eyebrows at the girl across from her.
Emma watched her two friends anxiously, her fingers crossed. As their lips met, she let out a loud cheer, alerting everyone around them.
Alisha smiled against Hermione's lips as she heard Emma's distant cheer. Hermione grinned, as Alisha laced her hand through hers.
