I decided to stay on my room the next day. Sabado naman at katatapos ko lang mag-record ng scores ng mga studyante ko. Wala namang gaanong problema dahil higher sections ang handle ko at wala pa akong advisory.
I stared at my phone and waited for Kurt to text me. He left me on read when I messaged him good morning. He's probably really busy. Sigh.
aeeyy_vi: tara club mamayang gabi.
Heto na naman si Avi sa clubbing. Akala mo naman hindi busy eh. Kung titignan mo yung IG stories at post niya, puro nasa club. I'm happy that she got to enjoy her life naman and Yuen supports her up to the point na hinahayaan niya si Avi na magsuot ng damit na gusto niyang suotin. Gano'n din naman si Avi kay Yuen, but Avi is more possessive.
Pumayag na lang din akong sumama sa club mamaya, pero di pa ako nakapagpaalam kila mama at Kurt.
"Kurt?"
"Why are you not calling me baby?" Bungad na sagot niya nang sagutin niya ang tawag ko.
"You don't wuv me anymore," he said in a soft baby tone. Halata pa rin yung deepness ng voice niya despite it.
"Silly," I chuckled a bit. "I miss you baby."
A long pause from the other line then followed. I thought he didn't hear it or he muted me or something but then I heard his co-workers tease him.
"Ge doc, sayaw pa. Igiling mo pa yes naman!"
"Sana all na lang, doc."
"Bebe time pa nga.".
I burst out laughing at him when he cleared his throat and talked to me in his normal tone.
"Pasalamat ka wala ka sa tabi ko, kawawa pisngi at labi mo pag nagkataon."
"Shut up. Anyway baby nagyayang mag-bar si Avi." I silently wish he'd tell me to just stay at home because going out isn't really my thing, and he knows that.
"Kasama ba si Yuen? If yes then okay. Go and party there. Enjoy your free time baby. Masyado ka nang subsob sa work lately." Okay, that was unexpected.
"Really? Nanggaling sa'yo na mas busy sa'kin ah."
"You know the nature of my work, love."
"Yes, and I totally understand it. You should enjoy some of your free time too. All you do is cuddle with me until you fall asleep during your free time. You also need to enjoy life."
"Don't you like it when we cuddle and I fell asleep beside you? Should we go out for dates sometimes? Hmm?"
"No no. What I meant is you always spend your free time with me. Everytime niyaya ka ng friends mo to go out with them, you would always decline. I love cuddling with you, you know that."
"I just," another minute of silence on the other line. "gusto ko lang bumawi kasi minsan lang tayo magkita and sobrang konti pa ng oras. Ikaw lang yung pahinga ko, alam mo yan."
"I totally understand, baby. Sorry."
"No, it's okay. You just want me to be more happy and enjoy my life. But seriously, I love it more when I spend my free time with you. Hindi sa tamad akong ilabas ka or idate ka but all I want to do is to hug you and be with you privately, always. Don't worry, I'm planning a trip for us on your birthday. I already scheduled my leave for that. But I probably won't be there for Christmas."
This time, ako naman ang natahimik. I was speechless. Do I really deserve him? Do I really deserve a man like him?
"Baby? Still there?"
"Yes baby. Dadaan ako dyan bago pumunta sa bar later. I'll bring you food so you won't skip your meals again."
"Aight, I'll hang up now. See you baby!"
