It was 17th - the day when Kartik and Naira had to board their flight to Bali. The couple of days went smoothly - Kartik was busy with his work, Naira with her classes but yet there wasn't any moment when they didn't miss each other. They used to video call each other for packing stuff.
It was lunch time in the afternoon. The whole family was sitting at the dining table having lunch.
Swarna(sad tone): 5 din ho gye Kartik ko gye huye....aaj bhi aayega toh seedhe Bali keliye nikal jayega....(sighs in defeat) pata nhi mujhe kab apne bete ka chehra dekhne milega...!!
Surekha: Yeh sab meeting postponement ke chakkar mein hua hai....mere khayal se Kartik ko honeymoon ka plan postpone kar dena chahiye tha thoda sa....ab dekho....bekaar mein uske liye bhagam daudi ho gyi na?? Ek toh pehle se thaka haara aayega bechara....fir flight mein bhi overnight journey....!!
Suhasini: Arrey....first class ki tickets book ki hain uss khoteye ne Bali keliye.....usme kya thakaan honi hai?? First class mein toh khudka ek cabin hota hai ji....khudka bed, TV, restroom....(to Naira) bade araam se jaoge tum dono, koi taqleef nhi hogi....ek toh raat bhar ki journey hai....subah kab Bali pahuch jaoge pata hi nhi chalega...!!
Naira(smiles): Ji dadiji....
Suhasini(to Swarna and Surekha): Aur tum dono.....Kittu puttar jung ladne thodi na jaa rha hai jo uske liye itni fikar kar rhi ho tum dono, apne honeymoon pe jaa rha hai ji...aish kerne do!!
Swarna: Mujhe koi problem nhi hai maaji....bass...agar woh ek baar ghar aa jata toh....usey dekhke tassalli ho jati....!! Kyuki pata nhi ab yeh dono honeymoon se kab wapas aayege....
Akhilesh: Kartik ne returning tickets book nhi kerwayi hai Naira beta??
Naira(shy): Ji nhi....(tucks a strand of hair behind her ear)
Suhasini(murmurs to Shubham): Lamba plan lagta hai tere bhaiya ka....itne mein nhi khush hone wala woh...!!(sips water)
Shubham(giggles silently and murmurs to Suhasini): Ofcourse dadu....aakhir unhe papa aur chachu ko competition jo deni hai...!!
Suhasini: Woh bhi baat hai....(teases Shubham) uss hisaab se toh.....tu pure ek saal keliye honeymoon banane jayega....(giggles silently)
Shubham:(making a face) Kya dadu aap bhi....pehle ladki toh milne do koi....kyu jale huye pe namak chidak rhi ho...!!
Swarna: Accha Naira tumne saari packing-
Just then Manish's phone starts ringing. It was Kartik's call.
Manish: (wiping his hands) Yeh lo....naam liya....aur janaab haazir...
Swarna(excited and happy): Kartik ka phone hai??
Manish: Hanji...tuade puttar da phone hai ji...!!
Manish receives the call and places the phone near his ear. Everyone stops eating and looks at him with curious eyes.
Manish: Hello.....haan Kartik......how are you beta?? Aaj meeting kesi rahi??? (pauses for sometime and then exclaims in happiness) What?! That's absolutely great my son.....!! Splendid.....I knew you could do this.....I'm so proud of you beta...!!
