Your POV
Tonight was the night of Paul's final concert for his tour. You were always excited, but this was a big deal. No more concerts will mean that Macca is all yours. Of course, he'll probably have to work on songs every so often, but there won't be as much traveling.

Surprisingly, Jake and Veronica had agreed to join you. Maybe they had a sense that it would be special...

They were right. As a surprise, Ringo was the drummer for some of the songs.

Were you in heaven? It sure seemed like it for three hours.

Even though you must come down from the high you were on, you'll be on another once you greet Paul.

Once you went backstage, you even got to meet Ringo. Your dreams were complete.

"You seemed quite happy to meet Ringo." Paul mentioned.

"I was. I've never been to a Ringo concert." you sighed.

"Aww. I could take you to one."

"Would you-"

"Of course, anything for you, love."

You blushed. You both left the room, hand in hand, with Jake and Veronica following behind.

It was rather late. The dusk scenery looked simply stunning. While you wanted to admire it, you probably should leave.

"Paul, as much as the twilight looks magnificent right now, we should get back to the hotel so we can go home tomorrow."

"I know, sweetheart, but just stay with me for a little longer, ok?"

He sat down on a bench, signaling for you to join him. You had to admit, cherishing the beauty of the stars was relaxing, especially when you're with the ones you love most.

"We've sure been through a lot, haven't we?" Paul asks, out of nowhere.

"Definitely." you laugh.

"You could even say that I saved your life."

"Well..."

"Come on..."

"In a way, yes."

"You know that I love you, right?"

"Of course."

"I should have just asked you this when I was with you all those years ago..."

In the background, you hear Jake and Veronica mutter "It's happening!". You weren't aware of what they meant until you see Paul drop to one knee.

"Y/N, will you marry me?"

"Yes!!" A tear of joy slid down your cheek as you threw yourself into Paul's arms.

This was all you ever wanted.
